I'd suggest swapping some of those razorbacks for rhinos on the tacticals, as that's 150pt on razorbacks at present. Adding another hunter into the list won't hurt.

Like dropping back to two, add a hunter to the whirlwinds and a razorback to the scouts?

Which raises another question in this newbees mind.

Which is better:

Keep the Land Speeders

Or

Get another, scout, rhino razorback

Or

2 thunderbolts

?

Remember the Strike Cruiser can only carry 20 "legged" units ! (+20 tanks and 6 TH).

Wow a 700 point marine formation, that takes some doing!

Well it can't be doing much for your activation count, but that depends what are you going to use it for?

Still not sure as to why you're mixing those Dreads in with a Mechanized formation with the Tacticals. That just needs to go; It's a boat anchor, man.

If the Rhinos weren't free I would drop them. I'm trying to get as many dreads as possible into the list. I'm not saying that it is the brightest of ideas, but I'd like to see if it is feasible. I thrive on this kind of challenge. :) but NetEpic is my poision of choice, so I'm kind of clueless as to what will work in netea. So all this input is extremely valuable to me! Thx!!

been mentioned a few times now, but try the iron hands list: http://www.taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/ ... 73&t=24097
It has dedicated dreadnaught formations, so you can take a stack of them without messing with the mechanised infantry,

Still curious as to what you experienced warhardened veterans would consider the better option of

keeping the land speeders in the list above
or
geting another, scout, rhino, razorback formation
or
2 thunderbolts?

I think thunderbolts are great for plinking broken formations anywhere on the board (as well as AA of course), but scouting fast land speeders are also very useful. Again, it depends what you want them for.

In most SM lists I'd take one of each - tbolts for BMs and defence against air assault, Scouts as a multi purpose cheap formation and speeders as a more offensive formation. Then I'd take a 2nd of one of the formations depending on how I wanted to play and what else I'd selected.
