I suggest the smaller pincer arms should be more underslung in positioning rather than mounted next to the head. My suggestion would maybe be to mount them more under/just in front of the "armpits" of the forelegs. This would also give them much greater flexibility of movement and utility of use.

Rob

Could pose them like the attached with the current mounting point?

I dislike the helmet- in that pose it makes him look like the worlds most deformed American football player!

(though being British that may be exactly what all American football players look like! I only have what Ive seen on Buffy to go on when it comes to America! ;) )

Would his front claws not actually be the other way up so he could pick stuff up rather then lift stuff up?

Edit: scrub that last bit, I just reread the whole post and see what you've done. That's what I get for skim reading!

Yes, that looks good and it looks like the ball joints will allow greater movement. I cannot, however, help but say the words "Manga! Manga!" with that particular posing...

Ah, I smell a regiment who'll be getting some special attention in Wave 4! Does this also mean units riding large desert dwelling herbivores?

You are basically planning on fully reviving Epic aren't you? ;D Well, for these guys various creatures to mount would be cool, as well as a whole bunch of bi-ped walkers, from your normal ones to heavier ones like these. It's also the perfect opportunity to introduce subterranean units like these.

6mm Scifi, at least.

We'll be doing a printed rulebook this year.

Well, if it's "scifi" rather than Epic, how about some giant worms that move through the sand! :D
