Hi

I am Draccan.

Just wanted to add my weekend's progress with EPIC ARMAGEDDON.

My main blog.
http://power-dice.blogspot.dk/

Rogal Dorn would be proud. Armageddon is safer already:

But wait - there's more! Reinforcements from Titan Legions are on it's way!:
(1 Imperator, 7 Warlords excl. the GW new one below, 2 warhounds. No picture of weapons though, rest assured, they are armed! ;-) ).
Image

Futher reinforcements (fliers, warhounds and a Warlord):
(Here are 2 x 2 Marauder bombers, 1 x 2 Valkyries and 2 x 2Thunderbolts that got mixed in as well, one new GW Warlord Titan, 2 more Warhounds.)
Image

And some of todays preparatory spray painting. I have to say that Army Painter Spray Paint sucks big time. For now I will stick with Games Workshop spray paint. I tried two different colours and two different cans of Army Painter spray paint and they sucked monkey's b***s. I also tried side by side with some GW and that was better. The below is unfortunately the runny Army Painter spray used!:
Image

All in all a sucessful Sunday.

Still to come: Thunderhawks, terminators, more Dreadnoughts, Land Speeders, Tacticals, Devastators, Assault, Many more bikes incl. trikes / attack bikes, Scouts, Commands and a Battlebarge and a Cruiser....

Plan is to create a rather huge battle for Armageddon as well as a campaign maybe! Orks vs. Imperial Fist. While Imperial Fist may not be the most fluffy for Armageddon (I assume Black Templars or Blood Angels would be better). Considering the closeness between BT and IF I think one could stretch a little here.

Today's motto: Armageddon is a large place. But the Imperial Fists just made it smaller!

Stay tuned! :geek

P.S. Not sure if this is the right place to put this thread - Moderator feel free to move it!

I'm surprised you had such a bad experience with army painter, I used it on my guard and imperial fists and I think it's brilliant stuff..... Was it a humid/rainy day when you sprayed? The only issue I've had with sprays is when it's wet and there is a lot of moisture in the atmosphere, but that's not restricted to army painter sprays...

So I did side by side comparison (after spraying my mariens) with a GW white (old), AP white (old) and AP yellow (brand new) on a vertical surface. Both AP was runny. GW stayed in place.
Nozzle have been clean, appropriate distance used.

I am not impressed but maybe I am just unlucky. It was a little moist in the air this day.

I have found that when AP advised 3 minutes of shaking and not to use it cold they mean it. Irrespective, great to see more yellow Marines for the fight!

A very small purchase update:

I guess I can use these when I use the Imperial Fist army list (as opposed to the codex one).

We only got to play the major part of first round (I KNOW; RIGHT!)

Final pic:

After that I swooped in with my Thunderhawk and did a ground attack. Some Ork units were broken and fleeing. I think I controlled the game and table quite well already. Fun to try. Really great game in general. I love Epic. Can't wait to actually FINISH a game!
