Yes, T/S ... are the E:A Dreads "ala" E40K ?   And we saw your excellent E:A Chaos Dreads & Bikes (both new ! :D ), too bad we won't see those for years !  :(

I believe they are the E40K ones, yes.

Even the Chaos ones arejust the E40K marine ones which have been converted & cast. I painted them a few years back & was dead impressed when I did them.

Now, it seems I have advanced in my skills & am pondering doing a few of my own rather than waiting. Its relatively simple on the sculpting front & the paintjobs I did on them (expecially the bikes...) could certainly do with an upgrade considering they're the display pieces!.

But I may end up going with another "Good" army for my epic marines rather than delving into chaos... I'm undecided as yet & as normal I probably wont make up my mind until I have an army completed?:-:

So I take it the E:A Imperial Dreads are the E40K version ? ?And yes I saw the Chaos Dreads were re-cast E40K versions, but are those the ones we will see released for Chaos ? ? ????

Say what?!? That sounds like every gamers nightmare! My condolances Tom. Do I dare ask exactly what kind of disasterous move you are referring to? (horrible flashbacks to the day an unsuspecting box of my orks resting in a chair were suddenly hit by a huge ASStroid... :{ ...no futher comments...)

I once had stolen my whole painted tyranid army....

The horror.....the horror....

Thats terrible.  I have suffered massive damages before, but not theft.  I hate theives.  Theft is one of the most significant crimes in the Navy.  Perps typically have all their fingers accidentally broken in hatchways....

Well, I have finished the cloths on the Sisters - added another highlight + done a few bits I forgot to.
Now I have all red areas painted with Blood Red, and soon to be highlighted.

Altough they won't score a Golden Demon, as for my skills and up-to-date achievements they'll be masterpieces anyway.

I had almost 10k of every army too.... not exactly a primarch load but still - A LOT of painting time and god knows how many ??? it is worth with todays prices :'(

Sisters are progressing quickly. Now the red is highlighted - and twice!

Current color scheme:
- Armor painted Chaos Black and highlighted Regal Blue
- Robes outside painted Chaos Black and layering applied with two mixes with higher amounts of Skull White
- Red areas painted Blood Red, highlighted with a mix with Bad Moon Yellow, to which Skull White was added for final highlights.

Now I am fixing up the areas where red color has spilled over on armour.

White areas will naturally be painted Skull White, while the metals will be simple Boltgun Metal over Chaos Black.

They should be done about on Monday. I hope I will be able to take some pics of them to show to you.

Maybe if I keep track of my stuff here I won't like such a slacker.  :p

Well as my first posting on this thread...

I have just completed my third armor cast concrete bunker.  This completes the the bunkers for the trench system.  My partner and I will be playing a 40K this Saturday, Bunker Assualt Mission of course, to welcome them into the 40K universe...by slapping some Melta bombs to them.   :D

The process was

1. Prime black
2. Drybrush Codex Grey
3. Drybrush Frotress Grey
4. The door and top hatch where painted with Boltgun metal
5. The door and top hatch where hit with a watered down black wash
6. The outside parts of the door and top hatch where hit with a straight flesh wash...made them look dirty and rusty.

The results can be seen on my trench system thread

The next two pieces, which are actual parts of the trench, have been primed black and are awaiting the brush.  

I also hope to play a game of epic tonight.  My regular weekly game was canceled for the last three weeks so I hope my opponet can make it.

Should be interesting because he is bringing a gargant and landas for the first time.
