For skimmers Jimmy, the MW is only on its FF attack, but then as a skimmer it can always choose to use its FF attack and force the opponent to FF as well. Which make them great for screening other SM formations from CC orientated forces like orks or nids.

yes I know the RAW, mate. Important that I point out any potential house rules that effect our local playstyles even if it didn't come up in the game itself :D

Kyuss, with your blessing, we're going to re-run this match but with the following changes:
-Bunkers give RA + Fearless to any IF infantry stationed in them.
-Trenches give Fearless to any IF infantry stationed in them.
-5 Unit Assault Termie Formations

Will let you know how it goes

Ooooh, I love the idea of the bunkers and trenches granting fearless. I wonder if it's not a bit OP, but, on the other hand, maybe it needs to be a little bit over the top to make up for the crippling loss of mobility. Really curious to hear how this turns out!

Go for it JZ! I'm a bit tied up with real life atm to get much playtesting done, let me know how it goes and I'll try some stuff out shortly, I'm looking to push an update out in the next 8-10 weeks (although there are three tournaments during that period....)

Doh!, sorry mate, was sitting there thinking "WTF? how is JZ getting confused over skimmers..." Missed your edit.

Cool concept, if Fearless turns out too powerful, what about a free "inspiring" and/or "leader" for a formation with half or more of its stands in bunker/trenches?
- Ie less likely to loose assault on their preferred ground and more effective at recovering from suppression when in fortifications, but can still get hacked down if they loose badly?

Looking forward to the next game - any chance there will be pictures?
