As I always say, Titans are land BBs, they need to be armed with as many heavy ranged weapons as possible ... CCWs are not on any of may titans. The enemy never gets close enough. With long ranged firepower they die on the way while trying to close the range ... Those are my tactics ... always worked for me since '90 ... But do what works for you ... not me ... ^-^

Epic: Armageddon is not a game won by shooting for the most part, it sure hurts when a titan sustains, but the best way to kill stuff and have it stay killed is in engagements.... also one of the best ways to kill titans is to BTB them with air-assaulting/teleporting troops with lots of macro weapons.... the kind of thing that just appears out of nowhere... can't shoot a formation like that before it's in your face... a titan dishing out a bunch of TK hits in BTB or FF makes your titan a much less appealing target while still being able to dish it out up close and on the offensive

Yes, we discussed this before ... see here - viewtopic.php?f=95&t=27138&hilit=Eldar+Warlock+Titans But I still like heavy weapons ... AND understand how maneuver and fire works ... in all versions of Epic ... :geek Since '90 ... :whistle some current views of how to use Titans in E:A is just not my style ... 8) so again, do what works for you ...

Hi!

I prefer the older interpretations of titans as mobile gun platforms. The use of assault weapons on it was specifically for specialized titans that hunted other titans for the close kills, mostly in urban environments where line of sight was not very far.

It seems to the whole point of titans was to have a land unit that could don orbital/spaceship sized weapons.

Or as L4 put it... BOOOOOOOoooooooooommmmm! ;)

Yep, mobile heavy weapons support platforms ... like land BBs ... at least that is the way we play it ... :whistle I sort of feel, with GW's predilection for Close Combat in 40K, they tried to some how make those rule changes for Titans in E:A ... But again, I think it is all in how one plays the game, everyone has their own gaming style ...
