hi all ,

i normally use kr multicases/foam for minitatures but i want to get epic sized storage cases - big enough to carry a 3-5k marine army with vehicles.

i want to get a decent carry case for them, so what brands do people use?

thanks

John

I have a standard card KR multicase with regular foam inserts, I can get 5k of marines and 4k of steel legion in it, just had to snip a few partitions to make room for land raiders and superheavies, and cut some slots for flight stands to go through

I have my titans and thunderhawks in a separate case, but I could easily make room for them if I dropped the guard....

I recently acquired a case from a german company, Feldtherr. I thinks it's great, they were competitively priced when I compared to other brands, like KR.

I bought the one in this link. (The foam in the pic have holes for 28mm figs, but the foam trays are actually customizable whichever way you want). The four layers should comfterably fit an big epic army. My 3000pts of tyranids will take up 2,5 of the trays.

Might seem a bit of a biased thread, but it is all true!! ;D

I just use a KR case with a mix of trays. Not sure why an 'epic size' case would be different?

Hi!

I own a bunch of KR, it seems to suit what ever epic stuff you got. Their foam inserts are kin of pricey, but top notch. The aluminum cases are ace!

I discovered carrying cases meant for beads at the local arts and crafts store (Michael's, in the US). They're not perfect; the compartments are too tall for most units, but too short for titans, so it's not as efficient as it could be. With a tiny bit of overlapping you can fit six 10x40mm stands or 4-6 vehicles in one compartment (there are six in each of the four layers, and the dividers are removable). You'd have to stuff foam in between them to completely avoid scuffing.

Point is, bead boxes. I'm sure they vary a lot anyway.
