you're correct, you don't need a miniature to represent either, they're just nice things to have ;)

The spacecraft acts a good reminder for your opponent and you can just use a token for the drop pod. But neither are needed for the game.

Spacecraft and Drop pods are superfluous in the strict sense of the game, but having the relevant models adds flavour to the look of the army and so may assist in winning the coveted painting prize.

Just working through a list, could I get a confirmation on spacecraft and drop pods – no miniatures are required to represent them for EUK events I think? couldn't see it mentioned in the rules pack.

Not really needed but like others have said it does add to the visual impact of the army.

Thanks for the responses. I ask as I don't think I have a spacecraft with me at present. I'll make a little 'i still have a spacecraft to activate' card to remind opponents though. Might have time to do a proper pod.

Depending on the army, you might be able to borrow a spacecraft off one of us.

I've got one going spare if you need to use one. It's a fairly generic one from the Firestorm Armada game, but should suffice

My space marine strike cruiser is spare as I'm probably going chaos for this one.

And yes I know I said you don't need one... and yes I own drop pods before any one asks :S

cheers for the offers chaps, ill have a proper sort through this weekend. If nothing turns up a generic or stand in chaos cruiser to remind opponents would be good.

Woop! new army for this one :) Painting is going well, although i'm still waiting for the last few models to arrive. It'll be great to have a 2 day tournament i can actually commute to too!

Sadly they're not ready yet - but i've always got a lot of projects on the boil ;)

They'll hopefully be on the go later in the year, where i'm hopeful i can make a mechanised Ork list that's not speed freeks work!

These aren't going to be setting the painting scene alight i'm afraid, They'll look reasonable, but certainly not up to the standard of my Iyanden. Sadly at the speed they took me to paint i'd only have a new force on the table every 2-3 years!
