By the way psypher you might want to put a note about restocking etc on your webstore, e.g. see comment here:

Those red roofs really help break up all the grey colour, nice.

They looks great! I was looking to using plasticcard for behind the windows, but thanks showing the use of the heavy card, that will save a few pennies!

I was considering using gloss varnish to 'fill' the windows, but Im not sure whether or not it would be worth it. Would take an age and a half to dry, but it might be easier to just stick to the pva like you!

As mentioned, i like the red roofs. Makes them "pop" visually. :)

@Marconz: Love your buildings - that red really does grab the attention! Please post a few pics when you use them in battle! I was thinking about stealing your idea but I've got too many buildings already painted and have so much painting to do that I don't want to redo anything at the moment! One day though!

@Psypher: I was painting up the Air Control Tower and happened to rest the top section on an admin building. I quite liked the effect! Would it be feasible to create a range of small pieces like this to break up the uniformity of the buildings? From a play point of view it would be useful if there weren't too many bitty parts as placing stands on them would be problematic; in the example I would prefer that the two box shapes on top of the tower would be removed...

@Everyone: would there be a demand for this? Would other people like to see the rooftops broken up with a few simple pieces?

Plenty of demand I would say.
I have in mind something like that.

Satellite dishes, air-con units, fire escapes etc..
Just no time/spare funds to get it going.

It just occurred to me that I've actually used your OKI units like this on top of the BD buildings as well. It works well!

Hawk do a range of "accents" for their DZC resin building roofs. They include aircon units, fans, vents, skylights etc. They come in a range of sizes. I think they would fit nicely on the top. The ducting might be a bit large (seems to be about 6mm square, most probably better with something closer to 3mm), but you could easily do something similar with small square plastic rod.

Yeah I was thinking along these lines, especially with the new bunkers- one of them just screams out to have a over sized communications dish on top!

I do believe that GzG do a range of add ons, but I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head, and if they do it might even be for 15mm scale only. I will have a look later on, and report back!

Hi!

These lines of buildings are looking fantastic!

I have to stop looking at this thread, I must finish my other projects before getting into this one.

I have a feeling that psypher's terrain will be another primarchload addiction... ;)
