Thanks everyone!

@Selim: I don't have the Epic 40k vehicles and therefore the more substantial turrets. I completely agree they would have been better. :)

It'll probably be a few days time before I'll get the chance to go back to this and finish the job but thanks for the kind and encouraging words everyone!

had no internet since Wednesday (the misses hoovered over the internet and broke it!) so I missed the last few of these posts, and then you've flown through in a really short time! I love the dragon minis toys anyway, and I fully intended to use them just as dragons for fantasy, but after seeing this I might have to steal Borrow your idea and make one for the orcs as well!

Should have mentioned, I didn't have enough shields to build this in my collection of old 28mm junk. In an extravagant move that saw my budget spend more than double, I bought these off eBay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261324009615? ... 1439.l2649
I have to say that the figures wouldn't have looked any good without these so it was worth every penny! :)

Rex, I am more than happy for you or anyone else touse my idea, borrowing or theft will not be required! I'm flattered that you and others are inspired to try something similar! Let me know how you get on! :)

As they in just about every action film: "let's finish this".

Here's the three crews for the Orkeosauri. I've used standard orks & Warbosses as well as a couple of Ogryn who will be the ones in charge of controlling the beasts.

Also, that's Exodus Wars ammo crates (with cartoony Ork explodey illustrations) and what should be fuel drums. In this instance I've decided that this is some sort of special feed that the Orks feed to their gargantuan creatures. They would have once been oil drums though, the Orks aren't really renowned for their adherence to health and safety law.

Speaking of health and safety, it's probably best not to think about that scum on the decks...

Cheers Primarch!

I glued the Ogryn Orkeosaurus wranglers to the front platform area. They have yet to have the razor-wire harnesses attached at this stage.

The razor-wire harnesses were a nightmare to attach. This took ages to sort. The idea is that the razor-wire forms a loop around the Orkeosaurus' throat. When the wrangler wants to turn the animal, he pulls at the wire in a particular angle; the wire cuts into the creature's throat and makes it veer off in the desired direction.

I can't remember if I mentioned it earlier in the threat but the lever next to the wrangler on the platform is the brake; a cog spins around taking in the slack razor-wire that is attached to the creature's collar. This snaps the Orkeosaur's head back, bringing it to a halt.

I added the Exodus Wars crates and Orkeosaur "feed".

Then I packed in all of the Orks!

I added bases and did some remedial paintwork, most of which consisted of blooding up the teeth, the razor-wire and wounds on the creature where the Orks had nailed armour on and around the throat.

You're too kind sir! You may be bored in a bit, I've taken loads of pics to try and show as many angles and as much detail as possible...
