I agree. Also a rookie. Just cannot understand the tactics of it. I built three, but that is just because they are the signature cool Nurgle unit. :-)

I agree with Glyns advice on giving the GUO Disrupt and IC on the Vomit.

I also think that the plague tower should be cheaper since it's a really akwar unit to use.

I also realize i change my mind alot (but i guess that means i'm not to proud/stubborn to admit i'm wrong about stuff).

What's the process for changing a unit already in an approved list? Does it require testing?

I've been doing some testing on the Lost and the Damned Redux list but have never taken the Plague tower as I just can't see a useful way to make it a worthwhile inclusion. I'd certianly like to see discussions around potential changes for that at least.

I suppose slow siege towers have no role in EA. Maybe lower cost + lower range could help. I seem to recall a similar debate about the Ork battle/gunfortresses.

I was actually looking at the Gunfortress as a guide for what the PT might be (with 30cm move).

On the other side of the coin, looking at other lists, there are a lot of WE transports that only move 15cm, so don't know if making this unit faster would go over very well.

A lot of the strategy of WE transports, even when they are no faster than INF stands, is to enable barging and to provide 2xDC number of stands cover by hugging the engine itself.

I think the issue with the PT isn't the stats on their own as opposed to the fact there's better units for the price likely. I'd say play with the price first and/or list structure (for instance in LatD move it to transport as has been suggested by the illustrious SgtShellback). It's not a support formation.

I realise that it could be read as if I was promoting a speed increase, where as I was merely thinking of the WE transport similarities between PT and Battlefortresses.

I agree. Price reduction would be the easiest way to start dabbling. A bit sad, since it would do little in terms of explaining a viable tactics for this unit.

An interesting list for sure, though less activations. I think my usual list for LatD usually has 10.

I agree with Jimmy, having the war engine transport makes the formation that much tougher to hit (especially as infantry can hide behind it to avoid being seen) plus it can barge in an assault, still use FF in most cases, and soak up the first 6 hits with its 4+RA

that said, they are expensive for such a slow unit, I'd be in favour of a speed boost to 20cm to match the gorgon, maybe relaxing the fire arcs somewhat so it can shoot a little more effectively would be good too
