Thanks! I can't tell from the photos if the intervening terrain would have blocked LOF. We usually play ruins as partially obscured and getting a -1 which the CLP shouldn't be negating and the grass board seems to have lots of open fire lanes. Did you feel you had no options available to limit the effects of disrupt and did the CLP removing the LOF requirement come into play that often?
We play ruins as blocking LOF. Like woods basically. Usually, with my experience from playing Space Marines, ond the ruins table the way we play it, I would have no trouble at all hiding from enemy shooting.
Problem was, the Titan was able to reach almost anywhere - remember with a double move and 60cm weapon range he can almost shoot at the enemy deployment zone in turn 1. On top of that he is very hard to kill for an average army, even more so because he doesn't have to come close to you.
What do you mean by limit the effects of disrupt? Apart from moving into cover to make hitting for the enemy more difficult, what else is there?
And the CLP effect came into effect every turn. 4 turns, 4 shots, each one w/o LOS and thus using CLP effect.
Disrupt is not the problem IMO, since it's a titan it should have a bit of OOOMMPFH, but the thing really seems like a jack-of-all-trades.
Have you ever thought about adjusting the FF/CC values depending on which weapons are chosen? That way you could balance a titan like this at least that he isn't that good in CC/FF and there's one way of hurting it.
@ Commissar Holt: thanks
