I like those barges, only the infantry embarked looks a bit static. I imagine them to be a bit more agressive, more or less ready to jump off...

Very nice indeed these minis!

Thanks for the feedback gents -

How is it meant to work? Will it have engines that thrust it forwards while it uses the big sail rudder to steer left or right?

I assume the riders are just to demonstrate where they would sit and the finished version will be empty apart from crew? I wouldn't want riders on there.

You got it about the sail function - each will have engines attached, the sails will direct the exhaust.

All those crew are just there to make sure I have it scaled properly.

I love these, they should be awesome once detailed. Please don't change them too much.

I take it the second one won't be transporting any troops? If so, is there a reason it needs to be as big/the same shape as the first?

I'd like them to share the same chassis - makes production less expensive and much faster.

Perhaps add a vision slit at the top rear of the front and a back hatch or top hatch encasing the driver in the prow in full protection?

oh yeah - there's lots of detailing to be done - this is a very basic rough draft.

I'll just say, since a couple other people did, that I'm not a fan of the "open-topped floating sail barge" approach to combat vehicles. I do plan on buying Stygians, just not the vehicles. To each his own and it's not like I won't be getting lots of other Onslaught minis. (With that said, given that you're going to go down that road, these are very well executed.)

I realize that this is a popular concept, so I won't say more.

There will be additional vehicles that may fit your tastes down the line.

Of that, I have absolutely no doubt. Great work so far!

Shut up and take my money, sir.

Seriously, these are awesome as is. I really like the vaguely shark-like effect that the sails give.

My name only suggestion is if the central gunner were removed and the gun mounted in or under the vehicle nose. Either on a helicopter-esque chin mount or a fixed mount like an A-10.

I think that does 2 things. First it further differentiates from the source inspiration, while still having the same style, as the gun would help give the same profile the shock prow does in the origin model. And second it would help reinforce the shark effect you get from the sails. Might also give you some extra room for the troop and/or extra gun mounts.
