Its great how you have managed to make the fortress look so realistic already, large and formidable just as Horus wanted it.

Regards to the brilliant idea about Sons of Horus brass icons, wouldn't Emperors Children Icons be in there too ? Fulgrim builds it for Horus after all...

And I was wondering, will you litter the plains with Imperial Drop ships, pods and craters from the preliminary bombardment/drop ?

I am glad you are waiting on the next installment. I hit the hardware store this morning and I will be painting a bit this morning then moving back the the walls. I stocked up on plasticard and will take to finishing the first wall section and moving on to the others. I have some more goodies to add to it before I am happy but it will be very cool.

As far as icons go, I like the idea but will leave it blank so it can be used for a variety of battles. I intend to make it into a larger board with depth to the fortress.

Hey all,

Massive day working on the board that ended around 0130 this morning. The board was not the only thing on the job list last night so see my other terrain thread for more. So yesterday was about gtting things done, it was a heavy day working on the fortress walls and working things out. Render paint re-entered the mix so all the area terrain is painted with a coat. I spent most of the day with plasticard in hand making shapes getting things done.

Some teaser shots for you, once I get going I will add some more pics during the day.

I have taken a break from the WE painting today to get some more work on the board done. i am working hard to complete the gate so I can move on to painting. Weather here has been sitting around the 40 mark all week so painting has been a no go.
