Hi to all,
although this is something I built at the end of 2012 I don't think I ever posted it here - haven't been around for some time, so for those who do not know me (or have not seen my Tzeetch hula tower... long story) I tend to build completely unusable models and weird conversions. In my current stage of life I'm trying to turn over a new leaf or two: (i) fewer conversions, more models completed (that will be the day) and (ii) fewer posts without pics. I still never complete projects, though.

Anyway - here are the handful of tiles I had completed for this project. I am using real ceramic tiles, so they're heavy! But it also means they don't move around easily.
Enough text, here's the first pic:

You can see a couple of elements of the Imperial Navy (the REAL, as in watery, navy) floating around on the tiles.

A close up, dam it!

And a peek at what was used - note the blotted out number on the old credit and atm cards!

Looks like some kind of gigantic water reservoir near the ocean...

Do you have more of that little ships to show? The look really nice!

Markconz, it's a dam with very choppy water (the dam busters just passed by, see?) flowing into a lake. When I add other tiles they'll represent the land area - trust me to begin with water. Admittedly, this was an entry for the Lead Advetures Forum 'Build Something' competition 2012, the theme of which was 'water'.

Khorgor - pics of the fleet, as requested:

Where do the tiles go? They need a table surface to support them.
This is a table I built for our hobby room.
On normal days it's piled with models and paint, but can be cleared for gaming.
The central column houses modelling stuff inside.

The middle tier can be used for 2-level games - these are the supports for the top surface:

Yep. It's more of a brown water navy, I guess....
