I'm still playing around with how exactly I'm going to attach it to the base - but there will need to be a solid connection. Don't want them snapping off.

No plans on an uncurled version - they pretty much have their grabby tentacles out in front at all times to snatch up more victims.

Personally I would prefer them freestanding, so that I can pin them to a base. If you have to, add a box to the bottom, like your grav tanks.

don't make a base. You said yourself they're supposed to be floating. Just make a small spot on the underside where one can drill a hole to attach a piece of thick wire or even better part of a GW flying stem. Then the thing truly floats :)

Not everyone has modeling ability - it needs to work out of the box. Plus a hole in the bottom wouldn't be castable along the models axis.

Problem is, this models has detail on its underside unlike those minis...

The bottom detail really isn't a problem because we rarely watch the bottom while playing :)

Excuse, but i have a problem... i can not see the Pictures in this Thread anymore.. Are this Pictures removed? I used them to make some promotion for Onslaught and other 6mm Miniatures in my favorite german Tabletopforum and now i can't see the pictures.
