The God-Machines of Baran, Rapier Laser Destroyers. Each has it's own name, and some banners that are mostly in storage while the army up to its ass in mud. The targeting systems are not operational, for the most part. Little do the baran soldiers know that the mechanicum just paints some green dots on the targeting screen, or tape a sheet of paper with "shoot now!" scrawled on it.

Some bunkers. I used a brown wash followed by a black wash over the metal frame (for lack of a better term), using the "new" GW washes. I was not impressed. The old ones were much better. But, I wasn't about to use that stuff on terrain.

Dave loaned me a "concrete" wash for the grey parts. I'm undecided on this stuff. It gives a nice grey-green tint to the grey (that's fortress grey over an undercoat of codex), but it beaded up a little too much. However, I don't really use washes on almost entirely flat surfaces like this much, so it may be just a wash thing.

One more set of trenches and razorwire, and Baran is DONE!

Very nice, Siege Regiment. Perfectly painted. Suffice in numbers. There is no greater joy in the dark future than deploying these, inexhaustible lines of guns & men, one after the other while seeing the changes of mood on the enemy's face from the highest of self-confidence, into the deepest dread.
