Looks fantastic. I like the redtones a lot. Where are those cannon heads from?

Cannon heads as indicated by Jimmy. Only used 3 of the 4 types here as the dragon/eagle head has a narrower barrel section that looked odd – planning to use it for titan weapons though.

Those are some very odd models though.
They are indeed. Grown on me a bit over the last couple of months though.

Next task for my chaos is to convert a pair of khorne warhounds and finish my pair of deathweel conversions, as i've finally managed to track down all the parts i wanted for them. Doubt they'll see paint this year, but hope to get some building done on them in the evenings this week before other things take up my time again.

pretty predictable red:
chaos black spray under -> merchite red -> red gore -> blood red -> ?? i think a tiny bit or orange final highlight, but I painted the red so long ago i've forgotten … then baddab black washed into only the recesses/detail areas of the red.
(faces on back of cannon were the same, but leaving more merchite visible and skipping the red gore, then had more orange highlight)

They are actually a slightly brighter red than my other khorne, but I liked the new colour :-\

I have just finished reading this 30 page thread and I am blown away. Apoc your modeling skill is sensational and your conversions are inspiring. What's even better that there seems no end to them. I truly am in the land of giants now!!!

Ok so i got distracted.

Just done 4 dakka preds for my khorne. Got in a bit of a mess painting the skulls, fed up with red and bone i decided to dry brush them … wish I hadn't :D (but not enough to go back and re-paint … ;) ) makes it look like the tank hull and the skulls are painted by two different people :/

Lovely work Apoc :)

Probably the best chaos army round these parts, your sculpting is excellent and overall creativity just mindblowing

They're also pretty well painted too of course.....

Huh.

I've got no idea what you're talking about Apoc. Those Preds look pretty dam good to me, both the hulls 'n the skulls!

I'm another in the camp of envy when it comes to your painting and modelling.

Really impressive stuff and a joy to see.

Cheers
Reedar

You've obviously been looking at these too closely for too long! They look really nice.

WOW!! Those preds are just amazing. I don't notice anything wrong with them at all. I went back and looked at your other work, too, and it is just incredible. If only my Chaos army looked half as cool!
