Those are my friend's Orks. We've both used metal washers for our vehicle bases. You can pick them up at any hardware store. They're great! I learned on this site that some people cover them with spackle to cover up the hole in the middle and also give texture. I think that is what my friend does for his infantry stands.

I decided to go Black Legion colors simply for the fluff / gameplay / painting flexibility that it provides.

Plus, I don't have a black army! It actually looks quite a lot more striking than I expected!

Thanks so much, guys! I am super excited about my new Chaos army. I love the loyalists... but I also love Chaos. Anything but those Xenos!

Here is a pic from my most recent game against my Ork friend. This was a ton of fun. He over-committed on his left flank (my right), I marched out of the way and picked his army apart piecemeal until I won on Blitz and Take and Hold. Super fun game, played out exactly as depicted in the fluff, with Space Marines acting as a scalpel and not as a sledgehammer.



Stay tuned for the 24th, we've got a huge day of Epic gaming planned with a bunch of beautifully painted armies! I'll be facing off against our very own SgtShellback's bright orange Squat army with TWO, count 'em!!, TWO land trains! I'll be sure to take lots of pics.

I'm enjoying this thread so far. The batreps looked like two good looking armies having a great time - good to see some of the bigger units getting an outing!

I like your CSM - good use of colour to offset the black and make it pop.
