How about these colour schemes for Legio Destructor?

Still toying with the colours as there is no official one.

I forgot to save the version where the whole upper part is red, so had to redo it. This is why there are 2 pictures. I know the topic about the Legio colour scheme, will post there too if I have a more firm idea.

The colour is supposed to be dark metal, steel.

It looks a bit strange to follow the plating structure like that. It is not the way you would paint huge machines. Look at e.g. contemporary ships or aircraft. OTH, things might be different in the grim dark future.

I think the first one as the base colors is fine but I agree with Nitpick that various chevrons and stripes and other bits need to be painted on that cross the plate structure otherwise this will be too plain.

yes, needs details. I just want to find some basic scheme that I like for Legio Destructor

Hard to decide. THere are other legios where everything is available, but of course I had to choose one that does not have an official scheme. (I went for Legio Destructor as I have orks, so they need enemies)

I got one of these for conversion:

Star wars walker tank. The orks will be delighted to convert it...

Gargant or great gargant proxy, or crawla gargant.

(photo is NOT mine, but the model is the same)

Will have no time till our wedding in August. So all project can only continue from September.

I found them on ebay. (while hunting for cheap X-wings ship proxies for the new FFG X-wing game...)

They were toys added to McDonald's kid menus.

my search was "happy meal star wars AT-TE" or something like that.

Here is one:

My son got one in his Mcdonalds and that was my thought too when I saw it. A perfect Ork conversion and visited several Mcdonalds to try and get one for myself (just at the end of the promotion). Of course I now have two lol.

Love to see what you do, as I still not done anything with mine.

That's weird... that's very similar to the scheme I thought of the other day for my titans: burgundy and dark grey.

So thanks for the mockup!

Your Orky Mega Gargant creation is absolutely perfect. I always thought the Mega Gargant was possibly the worst epic mini ever created, but yours looks spiffing! Well done.

Quick question though on another note, What's that tracked cannon model that you have converted underneath? It would make a cool mini for a Death of Krieg army
