Mystical machines of murder!
I still love the idea of putting a boss frog in a link/connection slot in top of these things.

Image

1) Boss Froggy on floating throne. Boring design. Need be more of a biotechintegratedwhateverthing.
2) Elite Atztek Cyber Criket Team.
3) A poo gnobbler... very poor...
4) I acually tried to make something that uses my rules for the frog design but looks like it could fly. Now we have space carrot with deadly breast lasers. Not bad for a start.
5) and 6) I have no idea...
7) This one i like better every time i look at him. :)
8) no friggin idea
9) i really like these guys.

all things are in scale to each other.
thank you.

Al

AAAAH i am the biggest fool in this part of the universe.... the stupid backpacks look like friggin wendymarines! oh man... need some sleep

Couldn't stop giggling at 1, 2 and 3 ;D

The top right of the first image looks particularly cool. With that core part of it hanging down from the middle, it would allow some of Deacons ideas about plates orbiting, like he mentioned for his guys gun a few posts back.
If made larger, it could be their version of a Praetorian or titan? Some super large floating upside down pyramid/temple?

Also like 5, 6 and 9. 5/6 look like smaller versions of that top right image so would tie together.
Variants of 9 could work as the battlesuits that are in the army list. Don't know why, but they made me think of the Mondoshawan from Fifth Element, not that they actually look like them :-\

Amazing work.

Matt

8 is awesome.
9 & 10 are very good as well.

#1 could be issuing the armies special rule whereby the Supreme Commander issues an order that gives the rest of the army a bonus to hit or damage a particular enemy unit.

F**k That Enemy In Particular
Once per game, choose a friendly unit within 25cm, that unit may only choose a single target for shooting this turn. For that attack only, the chosen friendly unit may re-roll all failed to hit rolls and the enemy unit that has been targeted must re-roll all successful save rolls.
;D ;D

I agree !! I'll have to watch more History Channel Ancient Astronauts series ... or is it Ancient Aliens ? One of the only names I can remember how to spell is the ruins in Peru(?) - Puma Punku ... I think ? :eh And the only reason I posted the pic of the Frog People/Krogon (?) is not for competition but for intel ... don't want the Tzacol looking too much like Krogan or whatever ... :tut 8)

I like both sets of sketches. To me, the upper and unnumbered ones look like Super Heavy Skimmers / Floaters. At least the upper right (round inverted pyramid) looks Super Heavy, possibly Praetorian level. The other three could be SH or just Vehicle.

1 & 2 look decent. 4 could (perhaps) be improved by being a bit more 'bulbous'. Look at the Mon-Calamari ships from Return of the Jedi. With their tech level, they shouldn't have to worry about being overly aerodynamic. 5 & 6 to me look like their equivalent of 'Robots', whereas 9 looks like 'Dreadnoughts'. 8 looks like it could be a fast attack craft, possibly 'cavalry' along the lines of the Imperial Land Speeder.

I am loving those sketches! This is exactly the vibe I'm looking for!

Before we go too far down the path here guys, should be split this conversation off into another thread? We're not really discussing The Slann for NetEpic anymore here.

Hi!

I don't mind! Keep it here. If the future minis can be made to fill out the slann list and make these wonderful sketches come to life, so much the better!

It's been a long time since I wanted a miniature line made so bad... :)

Yup, something like that. But keep in mind i am just doodling arougn trying to find good shapes.

Yeah, that is a problem. A leader should not look decent.

My thoughts exactly. I will flatten the shape. THere awesome organic shipgdesigns ind the Orion adn Caravan Kid mangas.

I actually don't like that design at the moment. The shape is not clear enough for that scale.

Thank you for your time and thoughts.

Hmm, to be fair i hope we get something that can be used for Onslaughts own ruleset and of course EA in its different incarnations(or what ever you like to play).
And of course I am here because I like the slann (fantasy and scifi). Its a question of balance.
Can someone post a list of all units(without the stats) from any existing armylist? I was hopelessly confused XD

Edit:
Now i somehow can even find it anymore. :(

Hi!

Sure can. :)

The Slann are divided into the "true slann" those whom have not lost their technological might and mastery of the warp and the "exodus" which are devolved slann, that have forgotten thier glorious past. (they are similar to eldar exodites).

Long ago when they created a servile race known as the "dracon". These are basically a reptilian races in contrast to the more froglike slann.

True Slann

Slann Great Magus. He is at the top of the hierarchy. That drawing of a fat slann on the hovering "chair" would be perfect.

Slann TIme Magus. This is a SHE. She would be sleek, while the male Great Magus is Fat. She is psychically aware like more slann, but can manipulate time.

Slann Gravguard. Slann citizen in their ubiquitous battle armor. These bring heavy weapon support to the battlefield.

Slann Spawnguard. Slann citizens armed for close assault. That picture of the slann in armor with a shield and aztec type sword would be a perfect fit.

Slann Vanguard. Slann Nobles armed in heavy battlesuit armor. These are the leaders (HQ units).

Slann Mechs (Knights)

They are classed like Imperial knights (mini titans).

Vanguard Mech. When the nobility decide to they want something more powerful than their battlesuits they climb in one of these.

Tadpole Mech. Armed with flamers and minigun (anti-personnel)

Frog Mech. Armed with conversion beams and heavy mini-guns

Bull Frog Mechs. Heavier armed form of Frog mech with neural disruptor missile pods.

Poison Dart Frog. Serves as mobile air defense with multiple "poison dart pods".

Titans

Komodo Dragon Titan. Imperator in size and scope. Its weaponry hurls pure plasma at its foes.

DragonKing Titan. The most powerful titan in Netepic. Upgraded, up gunned version of the Komodo. Weapons can basically manipulate warp energy (think eldar D-cannon on a larger scale).

Razor Fang titans. Small warhound like titans with plasma weaponry.

Note true slann have no listed vehicles (due to lack of proxies). You can make up virtually anything for them. ;D

The Exodite slann are less technologically evolved than true slann. They are more feral and do not have battle armor technology, mechs or titans. They do use a lot of dinosaur like creatures as mounts for technological weapons. You can basically conjure up anything here.

You can download the book here for pictures of proxies and more info.
