Lucky dog.  I'm still waiting. :blues: I could have just preordered it but I have made a conscious decision to support my local hobby shop whenever it's practical. Especially since I have an understanding with the staff... }:)

Hi all,
I'm developing a new favourite army - the Death Korps of Krieg - although I plan to wait a bit to see how it shapes out as an army and models. ANd - great news - I caught my first glimpse of a DKoK cannon today - see the specialist games page NOW! :D ?:D ?:D

EDIT: Doh! Got so excited about this I never noticed someone else had posted about it.

So when do we see the new CI?
And  - anyone doing this army?

Yes, my Jopalli IG force is based on the DKoK list. It was originally based on the PDF list, but that later mutated into the DKoK list.

Doing a small army of those too. I recently purchased a nice bunch of old IG minis at E-bay. The majority will become a Cadian army but since the deal also contained 7 gorgons I decided to use those as Sigfried tanks for a DKoK army. I also got a bunch of TL era Basilisks. I think I'll turn those into guns and siege tractors. It will not be a big force but the whole imagery of the Death Korps of Krieg really appeals to me. They'll probably all end up as a small faction for my main IG army.
I agree that the pic at SG's site looks nice. Looking forward to seeing a full army not to mention the CI! :)

In the collectors model section of the rule book it says the new CI model will come out some time in 2005.

I don't think it will be part of the Death Korps list.

Well that was the rumor ... CI with DKoK ?   But I look forward to any and all Epic Releases !  So far DKoK get an AT gun, Sentinals (??) ??? maybe, anything else ??     ???

I was under the impression the CI would come out with the whatever IG list comes out after Death Korps (probably cadians)

who/what is CI?

I have seen it mentioned a couple of times in relation to DKoK and I have never heard of it before

That's the Capitol Imperialis, a command centre-transport-firepower monster. Big, slab-sided, vast ramps for anything on board, cannon... a moving fortress. A Landa on tracks, but bigger. Titan-sized. Everybody's favourite too, it seems...drool :p

I knew Librarian Jimbo would come thru !!! ? Yes, in SM1 she has 4 Void Shields & a Damage Rating of 4 and a Damage Chart (like a Titan!) , could carry 12 stands of Infantry or 6 Land Raiders, etc., and a had lot of firepower. But was rather slow and moved at the same speed as infantry. ?We always felt she was a "knock-off" of the Star Wars Sand Crawler. ?(Which I also have 2 in my Epic Armies from Micro Machines!) ?Nice paint job Jimbo ! ?Mine is in an Imperial/Panzer Gray. ? ? ? ? ?:;):
