Thanks. Well just throwing some weirdness out there It is not exactly as if there's a shortage of bipedal humanoid walkers on the market, so it might be interesting to explore other options before setteling on a final design. But I am sure Deacon will come up with something cool regardless

Indeed. That is part of why I mentioned that maybe this is a chance to have a rethink of the armylist and maybe even break it away from the Necrons? I have no idea how or why the units where developed as they where (I suspect it is buried in past topics somewhere), but having someone with Deacons modelling skills on board would give us the opportunity to get some units (and models for them) that where dreamed of, into the list but maybe didn't make it.

Speaking of what is in the list. The True Slann list is very dependant on battlesuits and mechs/knights, like an Ad Mech army, and to move away from that bipedal mech look I googled some "frog mech" images and thought they could be useful inspiration for the mechs and battlesuits.

Cross post here. L4 had an interesting picture of some art from The Martian Chronicles that IMO could really be great for Slann if ... welll... Slann-ified a bit . You know, snakes, vines, greenery. Basically Marlon Brando's king-pad in Apocalapse Now Replace the Martian faces with Space Frogs and you're pretty set!

Apocalypse Now !!! Those jungle ruins are more Buddhist/Hindu ... Slaan are more Mayan/Aztec/Inca/Meso-American ... but I'll take any ... including Martian !!!
