Well I vote #1 for purely selfish reasons :D
but it may have wider applicability to players. For instance I have enough infantry, IFVs, and tanks to recreate the killing fields of Perdagor. I figure there's quite a few players that could be in the same boat. Opening up additional items could be a winner.

Well i'd like to see the plastics goals reached to get a more diverse sprue content, but then i'm biased here as E&C knows. But if the metals get more people investing in this project then the plastic sprue can only benefit i suppose. :-\

While i don't need basic infantry, I really think it CRUCIAL to have those bases as a separate sprue. Or else any other infantry sprue coming later will have to include bases as well. This is by far the #1 priority IMO; as it is I am essentially pledging to get the ball rolling anyway.

I vote keep the first stretch goal for splitting the bases from the actual miniature sprue. The base sprue is a true long-term investment - it will continue to pay of with any present or future infantry production, even metal - that should get top priority. After that, as much variety as possible on the sprue, specially concerning the infantry.

If it means the metal stuff has to be add-on priced higher to be self sufficient investment wise, so be it.

Absolutely agree.

As much as I hunger for the brilliant tank designs as a gamer, the separation of the bases is by far the most logical goal for you as a producer.

Since feedback on the metal stretch designs is pretty positive so far, we've now got a choice:

#1 - Unlock the Lancastrian, Churchillian, and Black Prince now.
#2 - Unlock them only after we pass £3500

#1 would mean we'd have to push back the Advanced Sprue goal from £3500 to £4000
#2 means we can keep the lower stretch goal target, but paradoxically it *might* take longer to actually reach the target due to less breadth of model choices for everybody.

Thoughts and opinions gents?

I'd vote #2, as I'd like to see more models on the main sprues!

I do love the Lancastrian though. But is there any way to get the gun barrels on the front a little longer? They look a little short.

Congratulations on making it past £2250!

Bases are crucial and I'm reluctant to put them off, but having metals on sale at the cost of a slightly higher 4k target is a good call I think.

HOWEVER... as much as I like the new designs, I think they should come later. I reckon add-on sets to convert the plastic vehicles should be done instead at this point, as this greatly increases the value and attractiveness of the core sprue. If the sprues can be used to make a range of vehicles, people might buy more sets in order to get those vehicles.

I'd suggest a buy option for sets of 6 add-ons and buyers would contact you to specify which ones they would like, probably coming 3 of one type on a sprue.

The artillery add-on looks good, but I think an AA and flamer add on for both races would be good. Plus an alien large gun and a multiple missile add-on for the humans.

Before going onto other tanks and stuff I would like to see infantry and vehicle options from the plastic sprue fleshed out, so for humans: metal officers, alternate infantry sculpts and heavy weapons ( if enough money is raised all or some of these could be put onto the sprue) + artillery conversion sprue for the ifv.
Aliens: metal Boss, big boss, heavies, alternate infantry sculpts ( again if the funds are raised all or some of these could put onto the sprue) + some sort of conversion sprue to turn the truck into a tank.

Once these 'essentials' are covered you could go into other tanks and aircraft.

That seems to be the majority opinion right now. So as long as the numbers continue to climb towards £3500 I'm going to hold off on any more stand-alone metals for the moment.

Could do. I thought they looked cute though. :-)

Thankyou. It is really the community that has done this of course, I'm just the vector by which the community is enacting its desire. But thankyou.

I think something of this sort could easily be possible. It would still set back the £3500 target somewhat however, for each add-on type that was offered.

Well you'reonly 905 off that now, so not too far away.

What do others think of the unlocking the metal vehicle add-ons now to boost pledges? I reckon they'd be a good idea and generate more than their cost. It would be good to have something new to celebrate passing the target.

Had another thought for some way down the line - with the 600 for a new thing is it the same cost for a new vehicle too? If you have the seperate base sprue and two alien vehicles per sprue you could possibly have a second alien transport vehicle design on there for more variety?

I think a strong starter box should be a priority and the added models coming from the bases separating from the main sprue help it come to fruition

Any chance we can do both? (i.e. unlock the separate metals and post up the add-ons as a target?)
