There's been a bit of interest in those actually. I could move those from being a Perk to an "arrange via email" special purchase thing, mind you.

Eventually, you could replace the "name the XXX" by a super bundle:

Big Bundle Perk: "10 boxes and choose the name of the XXX".

Being able to name a mini/faction would be a reward for investing a bunch of money.

Edit: it could be also interesting to have the same kind of additions for both armies:

- if the aliens get slaves, could human get some kind of commandos ?
- if the aliens get some slavers (bigger aliens), could human get strong bodyguards ?

I'd like to unlock another few metal Perks before we get to the "split the bases off the sprue" target.

Throw up a human equivalent to the (excellent) alien slave sprue (heavy weapon? Commanders? Special forces?), and I'll chuck another £12 your way right now.

How about these three?

Very nice, but not something that I'd immediately jump on. I'd prefer things that directly complement the plastic sprue – different vehicle turrets, add-ons and infantry things.

It'd push back the "split" target from £3500 to £4000, but on the other hand I'd hope that these new models would generate pre-orders in excess of that and would help us reach the "split" target sooner than would otherwise have happened... a few hands in the air one way or the other will help me decide when/if to put them on sale.

Splitting in terms of humans/aliens, or splitting in terms of models/bases?
If putting up the metal perks helps get the overall funding up, I'm all for it.

I'd like to see a balance in what the humans and aliens get as the goals go up. For people only interested in one faction, stuff for the other isn't an incentive at all. If a stretch unlocks an option for the aliens and the humans simultaneously, that's good new for all approaches.

Agreed. The £70 'name the slaves' perk would be more attractive if you also got at least some plastics.

Okay then, hang on to your butts, I'll be modding the "Name the XXX" Perks shortly to grant more in the way of models.

There we go, all five "Name the XXX" Perks now garner a whole bunch of models and in some cases unique sculpts, charged at the same rate as all of the less expensive sets.

So, if you plump for the "Name the XXX" Perks now, you pay slightly less per model than any of the lesser Perks (due to combined postage), and also nab yourself naming rights. Can't do much better than that!

EDIT: I've also trashed the "six boxed sets" option to replace it with "160 alien slaves". Because who doesn't want 160 aliens slaves?

EDIT2: Let us know if you want more than 160 alien slaves, and we'll create a special temporary Perk for you to use.

That's a lot of slaves – visions of being Caligula? ;)

FYI: I posted up a link to the update on Dakka dakka, and included the Lanky bomber preview. Here's the comments:
Quote:
The plane looks good overall, but I feel like the fuselage / body needs more detail to match the tons 'o detail on the wings

Quote:
My initial reaction was 'Holy crap, are they actually going to be able to fit all those details onto a 6mm scale figure?' I suppose it depends on how big the actual miniature is though. Now that you've pointed out the lack of detail on the fuselage, though, that does stand out as a bit odd on contrast to the wings. If they're dealing with a limited number of triangles for their model (I'm not sure what kind of limitations you have with turning 3d models into actual sculpts,) it'd probably be worth shifting some. Then again, it's just a preview. They're probably planning on working on the thing some more.

If possible, it might be worth posting up some photographs of similar models you've had produced, and to include scale shots for the vehicles (perhaps the 3D sculpt of the alien and the human trooper alongside each preview?).

I would like to discuss the cost of say, 800 slaves.

Several questions there:

- Will all the custom scuplted leaders will be available on metal sprues (one for the aliens, slaves and human)?
- Maybe it's time to update the plastic sprue with the Mark 2 sprue ? At least people would see what they could expect if they pledge enough on the project ?

About the project page itself, at the moment, the most important informations are not placed at the top. It's important to place the "Who we are" and "What we need" but imho, it's less important than "what you're pledging on".

About the perks, shipping costs should be placed at the bottom and what you get for your money may be better formated. I suppose you don't have access to bold on the perks but at least uppercasing the quantities may be interesting.

Currently the plan is that they are unique sculpts that only that person will own.

We would like to do some Leader Sculpts for everyone, as a later stretch goal.

When we pass £2250, I will update the page with what our new major goal will be (the double-capacity sprue).

I think it's important to demonstrate that we are a company with a good reputation, and established range, and that we have experience designing plastic model kits for big companies.

Yep. That'll do me :-) Brilliant designs.

All my "6mm" air units are a different (abstract??) scale. I do like that model just about enough to buy it anyway - my favorite WWII bomber. I actually like the sleekness of the current cockpit too. And about the tanks: are you going to do a laser as well as a gun turret? I like them both, but they seem a bit too similar to make two separate offerings that do not compete with each other...

I'd like to do a whole variety of tank weapons down the line. :-)

I hope that we can introduce many unit types. It depends totally on the interest we get at this stage in our earlier offerings.

In that case the project page needs more branded imagery and a video presentation by TG's CEO! :D

Awesome, It met the £2250 goal and than some. I think some human SWAT team minis or battlesuit/armored humans with Gatling guns/assualt cannons for £12 for 80 as stretch goals would boast your goal consider how popular they are in other gaming systems.
