James W can't make it now, however we've secured a replacement. One of the Bristol crowd, although a relative newcomer to Epic, known only as 'Noz'....

I'm playtesting my list (and also playing marines for the first time ever) next thursday, when it loses horribly, I'll have all of friday and saturday to panic paint a bunch of new stuff....

probable wooden spoon candidate right here..... ;)

Going soft kyuss... The real fun is in submitting a never before played list, and THEN trying to get it painted on time! :D

Sounds familiar Jon,... I entered Full Scale Assault 2012 having never played a single game of EA before. Was great fun if somewhat trial by fire. Better playing by the seat of your pants as it adds that extra fear factor motivation. I was still trying to get the army finished up in the Mansfield Travelodge the night before :0).

After a year away from the Epic UK scene (last one was Counterattack 2012) and playing all of er..4 or 5 games since, I'd still say I'm far better prepared this year! Still have to scratch build three more Night Spinners, paint up some Wind Riders and re-paint some of those hastily painted FSA 2012 Eldar..

Ah, had to ask my local club (Exeter Inquistion, plug plug) if I could represent the club at Counterattack. The initial silence was deafening (considering I lost all 3 games at Counterattack 2012) so I didn't really inspire confidence....They were kind enough to give in though.

Thanks Mephiston. The pressures now on not to loose all three games!! Nothing like a challenge..

Forgot to mention in addition to scratch building 3 Night Spinners, also have to scratch build some Phoenix bombers.. Yup, do love a challenge! :0)
