The bog standard humans struggling to survive in the harsh 40K universe. So that's the Imperial Navy, Imperial Guard and occasionally Orlocks. Not that I don't have lots of 2nd favourites (and 3rd favourites and...)

Well I'm going to say the Imperials. Not just IG or SM's, the whole job lot. Ad Mech, IG, SM, Titan Legions and SQUATS!!!
I don't know why, but other races just don't tempt me...perhaps it's the lack of modern styled tanks?
Cheers
Chris

Well, whilst I've always collected the regiments of the IG to higher levels than any other race in my inventory, I've always had the brain and / or (depending on who you ask) Heart of an Ork.
Tough call, but I'll shock the world and say Orks, then go and work on my 40K IG some more

Well, I collect 9 Epic armies (IG, SM, Squat, Traitor SM, Chaos including Cultists, Orks, Eldar, 'Nids and Tau), so I may have favorites, but I try to be magnanimous ...

And yet you're drawn to the WWI styling of the Imperial armies..... ? ? | Leave me alone...I'm a Treadhead What more can I say.
And I don't think SM Tanks are WWI styled...

you think they are totally different and there is no similarity whatsoever....

hmm, all round tracks, side sponsons, lozenge shaped
You are entitled to that opinion Chris, but I don't know if anyone else shares it!

Here is a picture of an older Land Raider
which have a similar look to a WWI tank
and here is my WWI Land Raider

which is a Mk IV turned upside and down and slightly squashed....

Ive always felt that the SM and IG tanks were all very WW1 like. Except prehaps the Rhino and Rhino based vehicals. In fact all IG tanks seem to be based on WW1 n 2 tanks, except the super heavy tank which look more like the moden day Challenger2

Lol, well I was thinking more of the Rhino based tanks Jimbo, but I stand corrected, the IG tanks are WW1 inspired.
Cheers

Quote (Chris @ 08 2004 Feb.,15:56) | Lol, well I was thinking more of the Rhino based tanks Jimbo | I guessed you were, but why let the facts get in the way of the truth!
The Rhino is though slightly influenced by WWI and as L4 says the M113.
