Just thought I would post a pic of my first net epic army.my imperial fists.
So far I have one veteran company,an assault marine detachment and a Devistator detachment.
I managed to make all of these out of the battle company box that gamesworkshop still produces.
At £15.00 I didn't that this was bad value from them.
I have to to say I am loving painting them,so far I have washed dry brushed and edge highlighted all of the yellow.
One of my questions to you guys was what other colours do you think would be good on the bolters and paldron edges?
I am very happy with the bases, they will have a lush green static grass added over the corse of the week so hopefully get some better pics up then. (I'm taking the shots from my iPad 2 and can't seem to get a better focus).
My first game is happening on the 16th of march, a friend is hosting a large narrative game and has asked if I would use a imperial fist strike force,I can't wait ;D
In the post this week will be arriving 4 forgeworld thunderhawks!
I'm hoping by starting this kind of blog thing that it will keep me going and inspire me to make progress.
Your thoughts on tactics for air assault in net epic and painting/modelling suggestions are very welcome.
Thanks in advance gents

Very nice Tellos! And welcome to the boards and the game! Hope you enjoy it!

My suggestion would be to paint the guns black. Black stands out very nicely against yellow. But I'm no expert... I'm sure others will have opinions as well!

Welcome!

Your yellow looks great!
Black bolters are always a solid choice but I have seen red put to good use as well.
Some google-fu should give you lots of inspiration! :)

Thanks elsmore,already done that today.
Customer service was spot on.the thunderhawks were also missing the aeronautica imperialalis bases (not sure i will ever play it but would be nice to have the option).
It's all being sent to me this coming week, hopefully in time for the big game :)
I have a question, how good are drop pods in net epic and does anyone know of an alternative to having to pay £12:50 for 2?
I can't seem to track any down on ebay.

Glad you had a great time in your first experience of Epic, really pleasing to hear that new players are taking up the game. I look forward to following more of your club's exploits!
