Any 28mm size mini that you can find on the cheap and that suits a taste should do. Does not have to be 6mm

I'm a bit confused here:

Greater demons in epc are a lot 'greater' then their 40k versions: they're the same DC as a warhound or baneblade, and thus logically would be about the same volume or height.

they are. I don't see the problem.

Pixelgeek just likes to fight.

The suggestion of using 28mm models (for example a 28mm Daemonette as an Epic Keeper of Secrets) works too and would be cheaper than using a WARMASTER figure.

maybe if you've got the bits. buying individual 28mm miniatures can get expensive too.

eBay? Bound to be individuals available there? Or ask on forums for spares?

With plastic being the norm, and request on a forum will probably get you a mini for the price of postage.

Also note, it does not need to be a GW mini either. Plenty of good minis out there.

I didnt think this would cause such problems, i was expecting someone to say "Go to blahblahblah.com they have loads of cool Demons in 15mm" or something similar-oh well looks like conversions, i picked up some cheap clix figures that will do for undivided princes but i would like some stuff for power specific demons and the Primarchs.

Lesser demons seem even harder to find if you dont want to pay e-bay prices.

Buy 4 boxes of current epic chaos plastics from GW. Take the LDs you want. Pack the other figs up in sets by fig type and sell on ebay. You should end up with plenty of LDs and more money than you started with.

FWIW, I use heavily converted 28mm swooping hawks for my Revenant Titans (also DC3). Not sure how my opponents feel about them, but they look fine to me - I added the jumpack and the wing missile bits and the hawk helmet looks exactly like a revenant helmet. All this to say that using 28mm stuff might work.

i've thought about that too Carlos.

The problem is the 28mm scale lesser demons don't look anything like the 6mm greater ones. The chaos space marine mutation sprue is helpful, but you're still short of an actual body. Roll on the cultists.

alternativly, perhaps this is a market gap that should be chased up?

Lack of wings is a big problem, and ordering some as spares would probably cost as much as the actual models.

If you don't want to pay for the proper daemon models, then I'd just search through the fantasy ranges of various 28mm manufactruers until you find something appropriate and more within your price range. Greater Daemons are quite distinctive, but even within the GW universe they have a range of forms, eg compare the Keeper of Secrets from Forge World, Warmaster, and the various other Games workshop incarnations over the years. Varies from cowlike, to snakelike, to girl like.

Maybe Nekharu or Tethru, plus some wings. e.g.

I think most LoC figures might cost a bit more because of the wings.
