Any pointers for "off the peg" proxies for Greater Demons or Demon Primarchs.

GW WARMASTER greater daemons are perfect for Epic greater daemons.

Not a bit keen on the prices.

As long as you don't mind them being big. They are the size of an Epic building.

Warmaster have faction specific Daemonic Character packs as well that have several really good minis.

How do they compare to the SG Avatar? That's pretty big too.

Here's a comparison pic, with Avatar vs Blood Thirster and Lord of Change. Avatar is bit smaller but probably as it should be given some fluff pics I've seen. Wings on BT and LoC make them seem bigger.

I have one of the Warmaster greater daemons - they're the same size as (or even slightly smaller than) a FW or GW Warhound Titan, which is also DC3. To say they're the same size as an Epic building is silly, just look at the photos above.

I'd say they're perfect.

Perhaps he just meant height ?

You mean the one where the two daemons are the same height as the building next to them?

Then clearly a warhound Titan is too big too. ::)

Slow day? Nothing else to do? Bored?

Trying to figure out why you've got nothing better than troll this topic.

I've played against a Chaos army that uses Warmaster daemons and they fit perfectly. They are big, but then the 40k scale greater daemons that Forge World sells are huge. Also, as far as I can recall, they are a similar size to the Space Marine era greater daemons.

Personally, I think the warmaster models look great and I'd certainly use them if I did a Chaos army.

I'm a bit confused here:

Greater demons in epc are a lot 'greater' then their 40k versions: they're the same DC as a warhound or baneblade, and thus logically would be about the same volume or height.

they are. I don't see the problem.

I have the old style SM2? GW Bloodthirster. Doing a check using the comparison of the FW Bloodthirster vs Marine (on their website) the old GW GD is absolutely fine in scale. They're usually also plentiful on eBay.

Please, let's not get bogged down in troll fights over something so "magically-created" when we're discussing DC. Size does not always matter.... :)
