Anyone have an idea how many points would a squad of Ordo Xenos DeathWatch Marines + Rhino cost in EA currency?

And: I forgot to mention a Space Marine armoured company of Baal Predators (or consider it as a collection of support units). This means I have to add Blood Angels (or a successor chapter) to the mix. Oh hat a tangled web...

325pts for a 4 stand kill team +20pts for two rhinos?

Perfect.
But - good grief, that's over half the 500 points for 4 stands and two vehicles?! Must keep these in reserve for a lean month!
Thanks Apo, much obliged. O0

Sounds like a great story V. I could easily imagine those groups coming together under Inquisitorial service or in support of a powerful Rogue Trader perhaps. Visually, I imagine it will look like the epic armies of old with lost of different colour schemes. If you wanted to tie it in together you could spread around some inquisitors and Inquisitorial markings, banners and pennants. Some death watch would be cool to. Perhaps you can paint them as the command/hero stands for your other detachments?

If your not 100% solid on the marine chapters you want to paint, remember in addition to the deathwatch and grey knights you also have other groups like the Red Hunters and Minotaurs that are rumoured to regularly fight on behalf of the inquisition. Both are really simple to paint to :)

Rogue Trader! Ah yes, that provides some further scope :)
Thanks Ortron :) :)
The Minotaurs are interesting too - I believe they were being investigated at some point, which adds more spice to the mix.
Those Baal Predators (something I set my heart on) are still worrying me; I found an ideal option - the something or other (steel?) knights, who are derived from the Blood Angels. They are however excommunicate and steer clear of the Inquisition (although they still believe they fight for the Imperium, and have helped the Blood Angels on Baal itself) - so mixing them with Inq could be a bit iffy. I'll have to settle for the Flesh Tearers or something of the sort.

Yeah I like the Flesh Tearers, they love to just get caught up in the moment and kill everyone :) Lamentors are also another BA successor that has some debts to pay and might need to earn some brownie points with the Inquisition but they're a bunch of emo space marines fallen on hard times....

The Blood Drinkers came across as the most level headed if your after "Red Ultramarines"

Are these the other crazies you were thinking about, the Knights of Blood:

If none of those take your fancy, you could always say the Red Hunters or a chapter of your own creation are either a BA successor chapter OR they just favour that type of armament due to the close support roles they prefer.

With the Red Hunters for example, Imperial Armour 5 (or 6 or 7?) suggests that the Red Hunters spend most of their time supporting inquisitors in small detachments but I don't believe it mentions much more about their background and gene-seed so as L4 says "Do what works for you"

Thanks Ortron - the Knights of Blood are the ones I was mentioning. They're a bit iffy on friendliness with Inquisition, but what the heck, in this case they've all landed on a planet which is about to get wiped out, so they can't afford to be too sensitive about each other...
Incidentally, what I want to build is an illogical unit of 9 Baal Predators, which in game terms would actually not be used I guess, but would be nice as a concept - a big pile of troop-cleansing firepower. They're a bit Flesh Tearer too when it comes to going bonkers.

Small update:
Very impressed with the Tau paint scheme elsewhere in TOEG.
Best I can come up with is a sort of plan - will include:
An armoured force of Knights of Blood, including Baal Predators and a few Land Raiders. AND some troops too.....
A small unit of Deathwatch.
A handful of Angels of Fire and Red Giant SM vehicles (I am going with the combined arms story).
Some Imperial Guard forces.
Local Knights.
A small Imperial Navy Force.
An Ad Mech - ah - presence.
Possibly - as guest appearances - an Inquisitor and a Sisters of Battle Rhino or other small vehicle - the latter will be there just for the fun of it. And also because I love variety

April 2nd, walking around Cyprus, visited a couple of archaeological sites, lazing about in a hotel... oh dear, not quite the scope of TOEG, is it?
I did pick up a plastic widget which might be turned into scenery, though.... :nooo
P.S. no reason for over-reaction other than wanting to try it out :{[]

So this is the real day 1 for me (except that I cheated a little and undercoated a few models before leaving for Cyprus.....).
By the way, Cyprus recommended - but we stayed in a nice quiet village and walked around (barring a long trip to Paphos to see the archaeo sites including the Tombs of Kings - grand!).

Day 1 - my target for the month are 3 Imperial Monitors of the Krancas Navy and as many tanks as I can complete. As the Monitors are similar in size and firepower to Ordinati Majoris, that should do for the month ;)

Day 2: Monitor scratchbuilds completed - these 3 vessels are part of the navy named for the Imperial planet, and were built for the Governor as tribute from the Ad Mech settled on the planet. They are supported by a faster but smaller vessel based on a transport, this time a conversion from an unknown model. And I just realised my games board now needs a lake or river or sea..... :{[] :{[] :{[]
