Thats what i am planning on doing. I started my Blood Angel when EA was fisrt releas3ed and I never got them finished. They are 3rd on my list of projects this year. I have worked a Codex Astartes army list so that I can use them straight out of EA rulebook.

Just had to avoid Predator Destructors and Vindicators as they don't appear in BA list, and then add another assault formation painted up as DC which can count as standard assault marines for Codex Astartes list.

Eventually will look at adding Baal Predators and Stormravens to make them more clearly Blood Angels.

I have the same reservations about EUK BA list- GW has always portrayed Blood Angels having devastators ever since they were first featured in WD Bat Rep and continued this with every background fluff and Codex released since then.

What heavy support do you have that would be difficult to fit in BA v2.12 list?

Cheers

James

Mate,

You can always use the Codex List as any chapter. Any chance of you posting some of your BA on the boards?

Cheers
Aaron

Predator Annihilators, Vindicators, Land Raiders, and some titans. I don't need them all; some may have been impulse buys based on how pretty the models were...

Everything’s still just basecoated, but I’m finally figuring out how to get hobby time back into my life. I’ll post pictures as it happens.

Don't forget that Tactical and Devastator formations can take Heavy Support upgrade- this allows you to take for each upgrade up to 3 Vindicators, or 3 Predators or add enough Land Raiders to transport the formation.

So other than Titans all are still usable in Blood Angels list, and would be very easy to run as a Codex Astartes list with Titans (but without Stormravens and DC). So you can switch between the 2 army lists from 1 day to the next.

Cheers

James

I’ll probably hurt for activations, but yeah, that works.

Any thoughts on which Death Company configuration is better? It feels like they should have jump packs, but I’m probably not the only SM player with just 8 stands of jump pack marines from the GW infantry box. Now that I have to use six for an Assault Marine detachment, I feel kind of stuck.

Take your point re activations.

In W40K I always played Death Company with jump packs rather than rhino. So for Epic I would just follow suit.

Most of my sprues were the older ones- so I did nt have to worry about the 8 stands in the current GW box. Presume you would be able to trade for more assault marines? Would offer but I have nt yet sorted through my Space Marines.

Cheers

James

I think that would be best for another chapter that concentrates on heavy armour warfare... Scions of Iron?

i´m not sure if this has been discussed, but seeing how predator destructor has now FF3+ due to low usage, shouldnt the baal predator also see its FF increased to 3+?

I agree it could have that.

Was this discussed before?:
What about including Thunderhawk Transporters? AFter all in WH40k the Blood Angels are the only Space Marines with Deep Striking Land Raiders because of this.

Yep, I don't have an issue with that. Seems reasonable given they don't get Destructors.

I see Thunderhawk Transporters and Landing Craft as being close enough to be interchangeable. Or at least... I'd rather carry four Land Raiders for 350 points than pay for four Transporters, so I'd never really take the latter.

Also, is the increased speed of all the Rhino-based vehicles basically free?

What is the difference (size in mm) between the T-Hawk Transporters and Landing Craft?

Cheers
