Next, conquerers. They did not start out as such, and 'twas a long and winding road to get them to this point. In their original form, they were griffon hulls that I planned on converting to salamanders. I envisioned salamanders with turrets for some reason, but after I filled in the mortar pit and put on a turret they looked much more like medium than light tanks, so presto change-o, they became...
Merkavus-Pattern Conquerers (the significance of "merkava" has long been lost in the mists of time, but some believe it has something to do with the engine/crew compartment arrangement):
WIP:

And finished:

I added some baggage and other stuff (reactive armor on one, air recognition tarps on two others, applique log armor on a third). Instead of being mounted in the hull, the lascannon is coax to the conquerer cannon (an ork big shoota). The turrets are demolisher turrets.

The merkavus-pattern was used primarily in the Moscovianite heresy on Pennstatus IV. The planet foolishly turned to Chaos when the Imperium was slow to respond to its pleas for help against a perceived Dark Eldar incursion. An Emperor's Children war band decided the rebels were not worth the effort when it was discovered that the "incursion" was just some dude in assless chaps and a ball gag capering about and making people very uncomfortable. The imperium eventually showed up and suppressed the rebellion with overwhelming force, noting that the Moscovianites were just way too eager to be corrupted.
You heard me; Moscovianites just looooooove chaos. They want to marry it.
