Request that the version number is included in the document itself somewhere (so a printed copy can be identified).

In the spirit of NetEA, I formally object to the chosen date format. DDMMYYYY would create less inconsistency and confusion in the year 10,000+.

I feel we should take more care to consider the long-term implications of our decisions.

To accommodate everyone, I propose we keep the current datestamp, add the 0208.012M03 stamp, add the Julian Calender date, add the Stardate, add the SEA Lunar Calender date, the Hassidic lunar calender date and the decimalized time record.

we had quite a lot of snow last night, heavy stuff too.

What? This thread is about the merits of Gregorian vs. Hassidic time stamps? Piffle. What's far more important is getting the whole of the Americas to see sense and write the date as Day-Month-Year. Otherwise my supremely cool birthdate of 5678 becomes a far more humdrum 6578. Chicks just wont find me attractive any more :(

YYYYMMDD makes most sense for file version numbers as you can sort files alphabetically correctly.
