What a way to pop my tournament cherry! Fantastic atmosphere and three games of my favourite wargame :) thanks to the organisers for doing all the dirty work, will guarantee I'll be making my way to more in the future - likely to be only the 1 day events due to young family commitments and all that jazz, maybe one day I'll be let off the leash for a stop over and a 2 day event but we'll see ;)

Thanks for another great event chaps. Lovely to meet Erin finally after months of years of knowing him through Twitter. Gary - you showed me Orks were a force I never thought they could be - though I had the satisfaction of crushing your Warboss under the wheels of my Lord of Battles. And Darren - making my Lord of Battles slink and hide the entire game. Three great games.

This! Thanks for the game, 'twas great to meet, chew the fat about terrain and set the world to rights on the issue of scale! It was also fantastic to meet some new people, get a chance to talk and play epic for an entire day. All in all a great experience!

...and the drive back home with Dave and Gary was pretty memorable too :D (the horror of thinking "oh hey services in 15 miles! not far before we can have a pee stop!... wait, we're averaging 20mph... errrr bugger" shall never be forgotten)

Sorry I can't remember which army belongs to which player guys - let me know if you'd like your name added to your (blurry) army shot above.

Cheers

This'd be my codex marines, 'wannabe blood angels sometime down the line' army :D thanks for taking pics, utterly forgot to take any myself barring a few in my 3rd game! :D

Hi Dave,

It's great to see the table now in full swing. Still can't believe that I'm placed 17th....thought I'd be last!

Looking at the link that shows our forces fielded on the day it would be good if you'd be able to update my list fielded
as I can see that the one presented is my original one before an updated list replaced it. The updated army list swopped the Fire Prisms (250 points) for a troupe of Falcons with Firestorm upgrades (for the same 250 points). Steve emailed me before the tournament confirming this was ok. This second list was the one fielded at FSA.

Cheers again Dave, Steve and all involved in arranging this and well done to the trophy winners on the day.

Tim C

Top job thanks.

Even though I'm taking more of a laid back approach to painting/gaming (i.e one day a week) now after 13 manic days of fitting in work, gathering forces and painting up Epic Eldar army from scratch I did something silly on the way home from work today. Popped into Games Workshop and bought a rather large Warhammer Fantasy model with intent on converting into something (non Eldar) for use in either the Westbury or London events.

However, planning this one in advance so instead of days to collect and paint a few months is a luxury :D

You're not kidding. In the 4 years worth of tournament records Epic-UK has on the site, Dave has a overall record of 66 wins and 27 draws, with only *5* lost games... (Steve G and Joe J are in the same ballpark for wins and draws, but with 21 and 14 losses each respectively.)

Not that anyone's counting :P but it's now actually,
68 Wins
28 Draws
5 LLll..
5 LLLlll....
5 games not Won or Drawn ;)
