I love those trenches. Your layout looks great, too. I have to ask though: Is your games room in an aircraft hanger?? It looks [i]huge[\i]. I've got games room envy.

Very Nice trench lines !!! Very nice indeed !!! But I'd prefer to by-pass such a heavily fortified position !!!! :o ;) ;D

Hit the house early this afternoon, so I managed to progress some more on the tile. I managed to finish off the design, including placement of crater holes and a track which will beimproved as time goes on with a bridge over trenches to allow vehicles to pass through. To the edge of the board I have added tape, this protects the edges of the tile from damage. I have also added a couple of tank berms for super heavies to sit behind. On with a couple of pics to keep you all happy.

Then with the aid of MR Dremel and a tapered grinding bit I have added the craters into the tile. Next up is a workout with the hot glue gun to sit everything in place and then its on to adding a paste over the whole thing to give it texture.

CAL001 this is one of the best ideas Ive seen in years! Modular game boards with trenches are very sexxy !
I might have to make as well. This is exactly why I do tutorials because some one might want to now how do some thing cool for there game, that they had not thought of, or known how to make it. like I had not known that steal brushes were so effective on blue insulation foam, Thanks for the awesome ideas! Happy gaming!

Mate,

Always happy to put up a good idea. I am working on boards two and three today. Once I have all five designed I will move to the next stage and begin with gluing in place. I need to produce more of the trenches before I go to much further. I will have some pictures up later on today of the progress on the boards.

Cheers
Aaron

Ok,

I promised pictures and here they are.

First off, the centre tile matched up to inside right

Image

Secondly, with the trenches and bunkers placed in just to give you and idea of what it will look like

Image

Thirdly, the design or craters and the track through the trench lines.

Keeping the momentum up, here we have a company plus of Krieg with vehicles in the trenches, plenty of room for more friends. The Krieg company is 20 stands.

Image

Last off the rank is a side on view just to give you all an idea of the tile.

Cheers

Those are really good. Excellent use of modular terrain.

I'd see about straightening out the supports on those Saltshakers, though - they look like taffy.

Can I say that this is pretty amazing, and as soon as I get my craft room back (we're planning a move soon, and its filling up with boxes of crap...) I will be continuing the Kreig army I started last fall myself!

HOWEVER! My sick mind wants to see pictures of your STORAGE that I can see in bits and pieces of the background! Humor this OCD fool and take shots of your storage solutions! :)
