Hi, ive almost finished painting my squiggoth convertions and before i make any more was wondering how they scale against the official product, mine vary from 20-30mm back height with a total height of upto about 42mm.

About right. IIRC the current offerings by GW are about 30mm high, the older ones somewhat smaller.
