Do infantry carried heavy weapons have the ability to damage WEs? For example if two Ork Nobz and 6 Boyz fired their Big Shootas (10 attack dice if I have done the math right) and they are inordinately lucky and score 5 hits against a Warhound Titan who is just as unlucky and doesn't save any of the hits (even the re rolls for Reinforced armour) do the Orks bring the Warhound down? Or have I missed something in the rules?

I know this is not how the situation will work out most times, I just want to make sure I have understood the rules.

Yes, any AT or MW shot may damage WE-class vehicle (excepting WE aircraft). Thus while unlikely (you'll average 1 2/3 hits on the advance, or .92 unsaved hits against un unshielded 'Hound), It is possible to take a Warhound down with a Regular Warband.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess the DC, reinforced armour and void shields are the great equalizers in this case.

Yes, DC, reinforced armor and void shields do make Titans harder to kill. However, keep in mind that MW hits negate reinforced armor.

Uhm, are you sure.

2.2.6 Macro-Weapons
"...only units with reinforced armour or invulnerable save receive a saving throw against hits from a macro-weapon."

what he means is that macroweapons negate one of the two saves from reinforced armour. its the first one, not the second (lance being the latter) but it doesnt much matter really, either way, the 'reinforced' part gets blown out by by the macroweaponicity being unloaded upon them

in the rules for reinforced armour, it states that 'against non-macro weapons, you may re-roll a failed save' or words to that effect, so while you still get your save, you may not re-roll it

Yeah, that's what I meant. I should have been clearer. ;)
