No thunder stolen sir - when I posted this up on DeviantArt a couple of days back I got over 300 hits in one day. I think it's up to about 692 now. ;D

Your quite right sir - if you strip away the robes and vacuum suit, you'll find a red shirt under there!

Here's sketch dump showing some of the pics that I've started over the years and not finished. Whether it was a case of me not being happy with them, losing inspiration, computer troubles or whatever... I never finished them.

So going left to right we have;

1 - Twisted Oz Tin Man
2 - 40K Brigand
3 - Chaos Dward with Golem
4 - The Chaos Engine
5 - Dark Alice in Wonderland
6 - Adeptus Mechanicus on Mars
7 - Flying Aircraft Carrier A
8 - 40K Scramble!
9 - The Chaos Engine NG
10-Flying Aircraft Carrier B
11-Ork Dreadnought
12-Chaos Reaver Titan
13-WW2 The Bridge
14-Necromunda Betrayal
15-Inq Dude
16-BFG Ship

Oh and a little sneak peak in the background... ;)

Some great potential there, they look good even if they're unfinished.

Definitely looking forward to that teaser in the background!

Thanks CaptainSenioris! :)

The background image is a big thank you pic for my fans on DA - I'm almost up to 40K page views on my profile so it's for that.

the Tau one is good, but that Tyrannid one is freaking awesome. You did a fantastic job with the lighting, especially with the interplay between the clouds and the grass. Bugs look good too :)

Thanks matthemuppet! :)

I really wanted to do something special with the lighting on the nid pic; I'm glad it's worked out. ;D

Agreed with Matt's sentiments completely!

That's a Chimera in the corner right?

Although I have very little artistic ability in the way of drawing, I do feel that the Carnifex could be more fearsome - just my opinion.

In horror, seeing the beast is usually the end of the suspence as very little moves us to a point where upon seeing the true face of horror, we are reduced to babbling fools (much in line with Lovecraft). I feel much the same about that Carnifex. It looks cartoonish, disjointed, and does very little to promote the horror of the scene. Were you intending to place a 'Fog of War' to hide much or some of the detail? If not, then I would think that the Carnifex pose could be re-done (if that was even possible at that stage).

I feel that much of what you gain from the Bio Titans at the back is overshadowed by that Carnifex and possibly the warrior behind him as well.

yeah, the big dude behind the thing on the LR does look a little bit like he's saying "ok, hands up who wants a strawberry margharita?" and if I was being a picky unappreciative a-hole I'd also suggest the little dude at the front looks a bit like a shrimp, but then organic things are very hard to draw with multiple depths of field, light angles etc. so I'll let this one slide :)
