The Squats are officially killing me. Those last two dozen models are not going to happen any time soon. So to get me re-motivated I am starting a parallel ToEG challenge with a new army. My last batch of Otterware arrived yesterday so Necrons it is.

As usual I will aim for everything in the book at reasonable quantity:

1 Nightbringer C'Tan
1 Deceiver C'Tan
4 Phalanx Formations with Lords and all upgrades
Immortals
Tomb Spyders
Wraiths
Pariahs
1 Flayed Ones Formation
1 Scarab Formation (Otterware has those so I have to have them...)
3 Destroyer Formations with Lords (one Heavy)
10 Obelisks
10 Monoliths
2 Pylons
1 Abattoir
1 Aeonic Orb
1 Warbarque
1 Tomb Complex
2 Objectives

Should be enough for any reasonable game size.

First up some Warriors. Boy, Necrons are a breeze compared to the "17 colours per model" Squat infantry. Black undercoat, Chainmail, Goblin Green for the gun, Bhadab Black wash, wetbrush the gun with Scorpion Green. Done.

There is an extra Warrior base per formation just in case I want to place the Lord into one of the upgrades (e.g. Immortals) and need 6 "clean" Warrior bases.

Very nice. I like the circular bases :)

Circular bases are very cool, and those are really well done.

Too bad that the standard bases (40x12mm) are better ingame...

Lovely zombie robots!
Good thinking on the extra clean warrior stands.

Thanks. All my Epic armies use the same basing system. I know that it isn't optimized for gaming but I find that that "optimization" really spoils the visual illusion of the game (Terminators fighting a Garagant and they are all standing sideways to it in neat little lines - looks like a child's drawing of a sun rather than a real battle).

And some Immortals. Necrons are a breeze...

There are four Lords for the same reason as the extra "clean" Warrior bases: optional movement of the Lord character to a Warrior or Immortal base.

Wow, Necrons are easy. I am half-way done with the entire army... Infantry is completed (though not yet photographed except these guys). Vehicles still need some work on the Monoliths (little corner pieces need some greenstuff love for all the bubble holes). War machines and objectives still need to be converted.
