Still think it should be 6 Boyz, 2 Grots, 2 Killa Kans. Nobz, Big Guns and futher Kans can be bought as upgrades. Purely because it doesn't automatically force the transport issue so much.

As it stands you either have to pay for a BatFort and a Flakwagon, or if you want the option of a Oddboy Kustom upgrade (Generatas anyone?) you have to pay for 2 GunForts and a Flakwagon.

Just a thought...

The wording for the Kustom upgrade needs to be re-worded as there is currently no point in having it as an upgrade for Loota Mobs as there is no arm or belly gun to be replaced.

Aye I'll clarify that.

Think that I would probably run with a list along these lines.

Gargant + Extra Fields & AA Tower 700pts BTS
Gargant + Gattling Kannon
Supa Stompa + Gattling Kannon
Supa Stompa + Gattling Kannon
Supa Stompa + Gattling Kannon
Supa Stompa + Gattling Kannon
Fighta-Bommers
Fighta-Bommers
+ 50pts for a further Big Kustom Upgrade

I'll try and get a test game in after Open War and some family stuff.

Thanks Tim. Good to see a stress test of the extra firefight weapon. ;-)

One thing to note is that I'm still looking for a rule to dissuade playing for a draw ala the Titan Legion list, most probably at this time simply by saying that any winning draws on VP's count as flat draws instead.

With the need to take at least two gargants, it's difficult not to use AMTL as a base to work from. One thing that I would note is that with the increased DC, saves and engage ability of the Supa-Stompas, I would not be playing for a draw with this list.

Aye, it'll be good to see if you simply crush everything in front of you with that nice firefighty army. :-p

The Stompas will be 4BP + Gattling, or 2BP +CCW +Gattling?

There are advantages to both I think (CCW protects against Terminator type attacks, 4BP is much nicer than 2BP...)

Probably a mixture with a leaning to 2BP +CCW +Gattling

I like that. More Mekky.

Ditto, but I might try to squeeze in a Great Gargant for the SC.

Personally, I'd go straight BP on the Supastompas. I'd run them in pairs, about 10cm apart, for as long as possible, so that if one of them was CC'd the other would be able to provide support FF.

I like the idea of the 6 shots from the gattling and want to check if it is too good or not.

One other issue I just thought of with the transport capacity...

The Gargants and Supastompas have DCs in multiples of 4. That means the Transporta upgrade is in multiples of 8+2, just like the Battlefortress. And the Gunfort is 4+2.

I really think you need to get the warband to 8+2. 7+2 would work, but 9+2 is going to be a problem for every possible mechanized formation.

am I blind or are there no mega dreads in the list? I'm tempted to have a crack at sculpting a few.... are they still 'in development' at this stage?
