Hi

I am about 2-3 years behind what is happening in Epic Armageddon. Since I lost my regular opponent Colin when he moved down south, and the other couple of more casual players have drifted away, I have nt been able to play EA regularly, Thus I have nt followed and kept up to date with various playtest army lists.

Is there are any of the IG playtest lists that includes all of the original IG Super-Heavy Tanks? i.e. Mk1 Baneblade, Shadowsword, Stormblade and Stormhammer?

I need a list that could represent an IG Super Heavy Regiment. I know you can take Baneblades / Shadowswords as Company choices in main rulebook Steel Legion list- that would mean that I would have to take Stormhammers / Stormblades using counts as rule. But would be even better if I could field all 4 with relevant stats.

Thanks very much

James

Go Minervan. They can use all four, plus the Stormsword seige tank. It's in Epic: Raiders, which you can find at: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/archive ... iders.html

The Minervan list in Raiders has all 4 of those. They are stated based on the FW models though not the old SM/TL era ones.

Or you could use Dave's suggestion. It's not as good though.

Yep; the Minnervan tank list from the Raiders supplement has all of those (plus the Stormblade siege-gun superheavy too).

It's a shame when you loose opponents. Perhaps try recruiting new players of GW wargames around your way? Also: do you ever go to the Epic-UK tournaments in the UK? That's a great way to meet-up and play epic evening if you no longer have a local opponent and I believe some up are up around your way - see their tournament calender thingy.

Aww, sad face. Is that what you look like in real life Dave? It can be odd putting a face to an online name (I befriended the Otterman on facebook recently and was amazed to find he wasn't a real otter).

Hi

I was just browsing the Epic UK Tournament Lists. I noticed that Minervan list is n't in there but they had a Ulani Tank Regiment list.

At the risk of opening a can of worms or asking something that has been asked a hundred times before, how come Minervan list is not tournie-legal?

Thanks

James

EpicUK has it's own lists. The minervans are NetEA. I thought they were tourney-legal, but they might be "in development".

The Ulanis are quite cool IMO, but aren't as strong in SHT's as the minervans (as I'm sure you noticed).

It is in the NetEA system it was developed in. EUK is a different closed system. These boards are the home of NetEA Development. If you look in the IG Forum on here and look at the 2010 Draft NetEA IG lists you'll see Minervan. Ulani Tank is the EUK version of the Minervan list.

Thanks- did nt know why the EUK was different- thanks for explanation.

For what I it looks like would have 2 stick to the Minervan list.

I already have a rulebook IG army I can use if need be.

Cheers

James

Minervans are currently considered "Approved" in NetEA. Thus they are considered a completed, tournament ready list with no significant imbalances.

Hi Jim
Where are you based? Still up north? Have you contacted Tiny-Tim, as I think he may well be in your area.
Also, you could try out the UK tournaments which happen roughly monthly - check out here for the events
if you can get over to Stockport there is a two day competition on Sept 24th-25th with 5 games, or if you can get down to Mansfield, there are other events there (Maelstrom Games)
