The downloadable version could do with a spellcheck though! You'd think that a professional company would enforce it when sending out text files. Most of the problems that generally plague rulebooks have been placed into the errata section on the website, but this is no guarantee that they'll be fixed in the rulebook. Probably just get a WD article in a few months with all the mistakes printed in little dotted boxes for you to cut around and glue in....
...but I have faith really.

Oh yeah... the new Epic PDFs don't look bad at all, and I'm sure they won't be as awful as Necromunda Underhive which is just shockingly badly proofread... weapons have different stats in different sections, obselete rules have been left in and there are just generally hundreds of horrible typos...

Hi!
Sounds like that Necromunda book was bad news....
At least the PDF's for epic look good, so I dont think the epic book will be that bad.

I think there has been enough activity on the playtesters forum to iron out many of these types of problems...

I hope so. My reading of the latest downloads picked up a dozen or so typos and innacuracies, and that's not counting the mistakes throughout the Reference Sheets.

New PDFs should be on the site by the end of the month (perhaps) and those should be missing quite a few of the errors you saw

He's as cantankerous as ever. Take that as a good sign or bad sign, as you will.

Quote (MaksimSmelchak @ 07 2004 Jan.,12:04) | Totally undeserved. You're not half-so-bad as everyone says... | Probably am actually but when have I ever cared about that?
Sure am looking forward to seeing a copy of the finished rulebook. Supposedly there are printed samples ready even as we speak so the final versions should be heading off the press sometime next week as long as there aren't any issues.
