To answer carlos' points,

We thought it would be nice to reward interesting army selections (for most people in the context of tournaments), which is almost certainly a subjective vote, and this seems a reasonable way to do that with a 5 point bonus (was originally 9/5/2, but I copied BotC and went for 5/3/1). Worth a try to include something different.

Far more contentious, the Tyranids. They're included since we assume the list would be nearly finalised, but not published, by August and whatever the most up to date version is at the time of list submission. Hands up, allowing the Nids is a shameless attempt to widen the number of potential players.

For our first tournament attempt we've tried to put together a small event with a bit of a quirk, hope you do consider attending.

Hello, it's great to see someone has successfully got and EPIC event going in the East of England, after my attempts a couple of years ago got nowhere!

Unfortuantely I can't attend on the 10th September as I have other commitments that day - but give me a bit more warning next year and I'll definitely be there

now that Britcon is a distant memory - and to be honest I recall very little of the 4 hour drive home, which is a tad worrying - but back on topic... it's Cambridge Skirmish up next.

We're having a day of quirky Epic fun in Trumpington in a month, on Saturday 10th.
