Now I know it's not out yet, but I was wondering of anybody had any info on how many mistakes/typos have crept into the new EpicA rulebook? I'm expecting a few this being GW, but am hoping they aren't as bad as I've heard the new Necromunda rulebook was. Hopefully a few of you guys have seen pre-release copies or got a indication from whats up at the vault to know how the rulebook has shaped up in this regard.

I dont think it will be that bad, considering that most of the rules have been up in the Vault for a while.  Most of the typos and mistakes have been picked out and commented on.

Hi!

I guess I'm really out of it since, I dont particularly remember GW books having so many typos. Poorly explained rules, loopholes the size of elephants, but not really horrible typos.

Of course, I haven't bought a GW since 1997, so I may be outdated. :;):

Oh yeah... the new Epic PDFs don't look bad at all, and I'm sure they won't be as awful as Necromunda Underhive which is just shockingly badly proofread... weapons have different stats in different sections, obselete rules have been left in and there are just generally hundreds of horrible typos...  :L

Hi!

Sounds like that Necromunda book was bad news....

At least the PDF's for epic look good, so I dont think the epic book will be that bad.

I think there has been enough activity on the playtesters forum to iron out many of these types of problems...

I hope so. My reading of the latest downloads picked up a dozen or so typos and innacuracies, and that's not counting the mistakes throughout the Reference Sheets.

Those PDFs were posted prior to them being sent to press and prior to a final round of edits and tweaks.

New PDFs should be on the site by the end of the month (perhaps) and those should be missing quite a few of the errors you saw

He's as cantankerous as ever.  Take that as a good sign or bad sign, as you will.

Really?

I thought I had mellowed like a fine wine?

Totally undeserved. You're not half-so-bad as everyone says...

Probably am actually but when have I ever cared about that?  :p

Sure am looking forward to seeing a copy of the finished rulebook. Supposedly there are printed samples ready even as we speak so the final versions should be heading off the press sometime next week as long as there aren't any issues.
