Some of the new Warhammer Garden of Morr (i.e. gothic Empire graveyard) set looks like it may have potential for epic:

I imagine this could make a great small building or possibly objective for a SOB army. You'd have to cut the roses off and obviously not use the cobbles, but the rest looks good.

Here's the whole set - perhaps some of the other bits could be good too, it'd tricky to tell with out close-ups.

All of the buildings (and even the statue) look like decent options.

Some of the bits sites stock parts from Warhammer plastic buildings (I've bought the odd icon or accessory piece from the previous ones that looked good for epic). Another option could be do buy the kit and eBay the rest (either as one lot of split up a little) - you could probably make a reasonable amount back doing that, particularly if you do it as soon as possible after it's released when people are keen for it.

GW have been releasing really nice plastic scenery for a while. Some of the detail/skulls/eclectic gothicness crammed on is a bit OTT. Others previous building like this Chapel also have some parts (the statues and inlaid reliefs) that could be used in epic:

Not epic scale but could be used for conversion.

Good idea.

It's only the roses on the first building that identify it as 28mm scale (the cobbles - which I'm 99% sure are a separate component - you wouldn't use/buy obviously). It otherwise looks perfect for a large 6mm epic tomb to me.

It kinda funny you pointed this out Glyn, as the FW epic buildings incorporated some bits from WHFB crypt fascias from that era. (at least from photos in White Dwarf that I have seen)

Just as an update, I had the same idea – and the little buildings work really well. Here's a scale pic.

A little conversion work, and they'd be perfect. :)

yeah, great to see they look as good as i thought they would... and thanks to the statue and gravestones being quite popular little items, the actual buildings are pretty cheap on the bits sellers. i think i'll buy two or three of each soon myself

How much Sigmarite iconography is there on those? If it's not much, they look great!

THe only problem I have with them is they have steepled roofs. You can't put infantry on top. It's the same issue
i have with the old FW cathedral
