Hello. The Necrons are back. I have just finished the v 2.1 of the Necron army list. The changes might seem purely cosmetic at the first glance, but at the second one you begin to see their true nature. Most important is streamlining and cutting down many of the special rules I have performed.
IMHO, this version of the army list is going to be what we can consider "final" version, ready to be passed on to Jervis Johnson for purpose of him creating an official army list for the Necrons.
In the interview published in the last issue (14) of "Incoming!", Jervis said he is going to do the official Necron list as the next one, so it's about time I finish tinkering with the special rules and stuff. Currently it is about correct. Most issues you have told me about, primarily the complication of the special rules which slowed down the gameplay was dealt with.
Sufficiently to say, this version is maybe not the first to satisfy me, but of this one is what I am really proud of. This is probably the pinnacle of what I can make out of an army list, of course not without your most kind help and suggetions.
This time I'm not going to gloat over what I have changed to better. You will simply have to check this out yourself to believe.
Download? Here: EpicA yahoogroup; Microsoft Word 6.0 filetype, zipped; 50k size Epica_lists yahoogroup; PDF format; 150 k size Note: both files have exactly the same content.

Hi!
While I don't play epic A, a army list like this will be useful for that armies revision that is upcoming.
Thanks for the information!

Hi!
Hmm..your right. I thought it was working before, but waited to download later.
I'm sure it will get fixed soon.

Since I'm new here and missed the discussion on what's going into the list do you want my feedback on it?

Duh. I dunno why the links aren't working.
Anyway, get them from: groups.yahoo.com/group/epica/ groups.yahoo.com/group/epica_lists/
Go to the files section. At both groups in the files area there are Necron sub-sections. Go there and download. BTW: at epica_lists there are two of them, download the newer one. As for comments... you can post 'em here, send them on my personal e-mail adress, or go to the EA playtest forum thread. Either way, your comments will be taken in account when (IF!) I'll do the next version of the list.

It's nothing. Now plz tell me what do U think of the list, cause I really want to know.
If it's something bad, come on, say it. I'm not gonna start a flame war, as I'll just set on making the thing better.

Now I know it's not out yet, but I was wondering of anybody had any info on how many mistakes/typos have crept into the new EpicA rulebook? I'm expecting a few this being GW, but am hoping they aren't as bad as I've heard the new Necromunda rulebook was. Hopefully a few of you guys have seen pre-release copies or got a indication from whats up at the vault to know how the rulebook has shaped up in this regard.

Quote (stormseer @ 05 2004 Jan.,14:52) | Lol.... aren't we all... | Not me. I've seen the preliminary copy of the rules (as can almost anyone who wants to download it from the Vault) and while I haven't seen the Necromunda book in question I think that the Epic rulebook is quite well done and has had some very good volunteer editing by some of the members of the Epic Forum.

I dont think it will be that bad, considering that most of the rules have been up in the Vault for a while. Most of the typos and mistakes have been picked out and commented on.

The downloadable version could do with a spellcheck though! You'd think that a professional company would enforce it when sending out text files. Most of the problems that generally plague rulebooks have been placed into the errata section on the website, but this is no guarantee that they'll be fixed in the rulebook. Probably just get a WD article in a few months with all the mistakes printed in little dotted boxes for you to cut around and glue in....
...but I have faith really.
