Hey everyone, after all that, I've come up with my own idea!!
What I've done is to get 2 of the big round bases (the ones you get with 40k Sentinels, etc), and place them so the centre of each one is on the centre of each foot of the Imperator. They overlap, so I hacksawed out a section of one of them so they slot together neatly (like the base of an =][= space marine on bike conversion that was in WD a few months ago.....) Looks pretty good in the end..

Cheers

>>I saw that =][= bike, It was sweeeeeet. Fantastic wasn't it! -Probabaly my favorite =][= conversion that I've seen, definatly took some doing I'm thinking!
Yeah, I suddenly had a brainwave when I saw a couple of the bases on my desk and remembered seeing the model- it was fairly easy to do, and it will fit in better with my titan and knights etc as they are all on round bases... I'm definatly going to be doing the base up- I'll add ruins, cardboard flagstones, some rocks form the garden drybrushed, and maybe a couple of dead Orks or something...

Had a mad painting session last night- I almost finished my Imperator - Its looking pretty good in its "Legio Vulcania" colour scheme - (a legion of my own devising) - Chaos Black base, with Bubonic Brown trim(the yellowy one), Boltgun Metal weapons and metallic areas, which are then inked black. After highlighting it all, I add devotional litanies like on the Matt Hutson's Black Templars that appeared in WD a year or so ago, and then to finish off, add purity seals made from green stuff and paper...

No, not really- I havn't painted the actual words on, I just used a fine detail brush to paint thin wiggly white lines on it- each is about the width of half an Epic Space Marine head at the most- not quite 6 foot!! hehe

Just a thought and I am not at home to go look to see if this would work. Could you mount the Imperator onto an old CD? Seems the size would work and it would be a round base. Anyway, just a thought.

A cd is a perfect size. Lots of room for other little happenings also.

Not a bad Idea. Personally I stack a few up to make a more thick base. Why not go get some of those free Internet CD in shops etc.
Cheers
