I’m cutting down the size of my armies to sell off for monies and trying to work out what to keep and what goes. Rather than keeping a rather large ork army plus a decent sized feral ork army plus extra gargants for OGBM I’d like to rationalise them down to one set of models I can use in any game as normal, feral, OGBM or SF orks (it’d also be good as it’d be less to store and paint).

Feral orks counting as normal orks seems fine but it occurs to me I could do the same the other way round too. I’d make sure to make it clear what was what in the 5 minute warm-up period but if I were to use this in a game or tournament would anyone have any problems with any of the following as counts as?

Stompaz counting as Squiggoths
Bikers counting as Boarboyz
Battlewagonz counting as Junkatruks
Gargants counting as Steam Gargants
Great Gargants and Mega Gargants counting as Feral Ork Orkeosaurus (the latter one's pushing it a bit I know)

Also would these spaceships counts as be acceptable?
Battlekrooza counting as a Kill Kroozer
Space Marine Battlebarge counting as a Strike Cruiser
Eldar Dragonship counting as a Wraithship
One Tau spaceship counting as whatever the other one is called
One Ad-Mech spaceship counting as whatever the other one is called

I'd have no problem with the first set.

However, I'd take issue with one spaceship counting as the other, because it'd be easy for either player to make a mistake as to which space ship it "was" that game.

No problem with any of them - if anything the spaceship counts as are easier to remember and more widely used than anthing else.

When you consider the space ship is the most worthless model in the game I'd say fine. But I'd be happy to allow you to use one spaceship as any of them for all it matters.

Chances are if your marines and you select turn 3 to drop its a battle barge, and as we always swap lists and talk through any counts as it's fine by me.

Given that spaceship models do absolutely nothing anyway, I have no problem if my opponent doesn't even have a model.

Hah!

I guess I'm overruled.

Why not super stompa as the orkeosaurus?

I don’t have any GW Orkeosaurus, I have 6 OK Rhinoxes instead which I was going to convert into them to be able to field a stompy WE based 3k feral list (though that's a bit less competitive now with the Orkeosaurus price rise):

The original small epic ork squiggoths were mammoth-like with fur which inspired the idea. I was going to base my Feral Orks on an iceworld, with flakes of snow on their fur and built up in other places. I had planned to base my normal ork army on sandy desert though, so one of the two is going to have to change.

I don’t have any Supa-stompa models, I don’t really like the look of it. When playing regular Orks I planned to count a Steam Gargant with Squiggoths as a Super-Stompa with Stompas.
