Gettin back to the issue of recasting... ... after checking this guys feedbacks it seemed pretty ovious he was selling the odd recast here and there. I email him enquiring weather the model in questions was an origanal or a recast.... I got no reponce. After a few days I mailed him again just stating the genaral thoughts and feelings submitted to this thread. I sudjested that in future he should ask all bidders to email him for further info on such models "as oviously he cant advatize it as a recast" and that he should have a "Buy It Now" function for such models with the price indicating that it is a recast.

Hi!
I'll be good money there must be quite a few out there that thrive on selling recast stuff, more than we could surmise. The smarter ones probably stay away from too public a market like e-bay.
Makes me wonder how many "copies" get sold on bartertown or other such sites.

Hi!
I was thinking of getting one of those game consoles that emulate the old arcade controls, to play games like Crazy climber and battlezone.
Much fun!

I once toyed with the idea of making an MAME Cabnet. Theres a site that shows u the basics of how to wire the joysticks up to a USB input. In the end I dicided it was far too my effort MAMEDK as been shut down again and looks to be staying that way now. SO finding new roms is hard going. Still doesnt bother me much as Arcades are a dying race and only a handful of games are made every year now. This is another thing I hate about copyright law. They have oviously banned MAMEDK because the makers of these games have copyrights over their games... but 98% of these games are no longer avalible to play in arcades. So their loosing no money from alowing them to be downloadable. If these companys "such as capcom, sega, cave etc" had brought out a consol and were selling these classics in cart or CD form I could understand thier reasoning. But their not, they seem quite happy to let these classic games rot. Another valid point is if Im somewhere where there are arcades "like Margate" Im far more likely to stick a few quid in a game Ive played and enjoyed on my PC than something Ive never played at all. Wat would have been great is if instead of disconntinuing the N64 Nintendo had bought out SNK back when it was in trouble and made afordable NeoGeo games for the N64. They would have sold like hot cakes. The N64 "of which I own two, both US scart machines" is a brillient consol, being the most powerful cart based machine there is. Its a shame this consol has been disconntinued when it could have so easierly been an Arcader's dream machine. As it is... the only consol that plays arcade games is the NeoGeo, and that oviouly only plays NeoGeo games, the vast percentage of which are fighting games... nice if you realy want to own 30 or so games of the same gene... most people do not The other problem with this consol is its very very old, open one up and you'll find chips from the ZX Spectrum. So inturn the carts cost the earth as all the desent stuff is built into them. But there ya go....
